I got this game a few weeks ago and i love it! The gameplay is awesome though the story is short the guns amour and online make up for it.
If you like tactail action then buy this!

 Slow and disappointing April 6, 2008

I love FPS games and was expecting more from R6V2. The story mode consists of a team mode and single player mode. In the first few chapters, you have two computerized companions who obey your commands (most of the time). You have to tell them to "Stack Up" at every door which becomes tiresome pretty quickly. Then all of a sudden, it's solo time. That's when it really goes down hill fast. My character has the heaviest and strongest body armor and caries to LMGs -- which is more than adeqaute for most situations (except maybe sniping). Since it's a game, I not too worried about the over-penetration of bullets that the game warns you about (LOL). Anyway, my tank player is slow to say the least but he should be bullet resistant. Not so in R6V2, he dies consistantly with one shot. Go ahead and walk into a room with 3 "terrorists" and see how long you last.
My other comments are related to gameplay. First of all if any real action occurs (like you're shooting somebody who is shooting at you) the game gets jerky and skips for a few seconds (WTF?). Secondly, it takes forever to reload from a checkpoint after you get killed (easily 10-15 seconds). And lastly, the checkpoints are really far appart (like every half an hour if you do everything right). If I've been down the same set of stairs 10 times killed 15 terrorists 10 times, I don't really want to do it next time I respawn.
When the opening credits ran and I saw Unreal Technologies, I new instantly I was in for a disappointment since Unreal Tournament 3 was such a let down too. I hate to say I told you so -- but I told you so.
In my opinion, Call of Duty IV is the the best FPS game ever made - Period. End.
A Frustrating "Suck" Game April 6, 2008

Never buy anything made by "Ubisoft". R6V2 is a frustrating game that has no rewards, poor artwork, and no help. In other words, a typical "Ubisoft" game. I can't believe "Tom Clancy" underwrote this game. He must have made some "bad investments" and needed the money, or maybe he is going "senile".
The bottom line: Save Your Money. Buy something else. Anything else. Popcorn. Muffler bearings. Hats for your cats. Anything but this game.
Write this on a rock: Never buy anything made by "Ubisoft". You might as well just throw your money down the toilet and flush with great vigor.
This game is frustratingly "stupid". If I could have given it "no stars" I would have. First thing in the morning I'm going to load the R6V2 disc into the "clay pigeon" trap and launch it across the creek. Let the Coyotes treat it like the "limp rabbit" that it is. Good riddance.

this i pretty much like any other tom clancy's game. great graphics and control. it uses the same unreal engine that so many FPS are using.

Uninspired graphics and useless teammates. The only good thing about this game is being able to customize your character (offline). The ranking system to unlock new weapons and armor is nice too, though I'm pretty sure it's been done before.
