Awesome Shooter Type Game June 9, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
One of the Two games I bought for my PS3. The other was GTA4. As I got older, I've been playing less games, focus more on work, work and a bit of sleep.
I've watched my nephew playing RainbowSix Vegas 2 on his X-Box. Never care for it, was a bit afraid to even give it a try. Didn't know how to use the controls. Then on Memorial Day, got a PS3 with the games as a gift from my honey.
I've played with RainbowSix for a couple of days and I was hooked. The graphics are EXCELLENT on the PS3. I had my setting on 720p. The controls are smooth. The Bots are pretty smart in this game, they don't stay in one place shooting you. Stilling learning as I continue to play this game. But most of all playing as a team with my honey is the best.
Good Tactical First Person Shooter May 9, 2008 Great addition to the series. The lead character from the previous game has been removed in this installment and you now have the option of having the player create his or her own character to play through the campaign, very cool. A few new features as running for a short distance and being able to give some new commands to teammates such as throwing grenandes is a big plus. On-line play a big plus. Overall, nothing groundbreaking but a good tactical shooter.

Gave this game to my grandson,he loves the game, but has had all sorts of problems with saving the progress of play.It saves your game for you,but it has also erased his progress 3 times. Not a happy boy.We have had problems before with games made by UBISOFT.So beware!!!!!!
Better than the 1st April 26, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I didn't finish Vegas 1 because the graphics were below average. I had just finished COD 4, so maybe I expected more from Vegas 1. I bought Vegas 2 used, only one available and I think it scores high next to COD 4. The graphics are great, but I do have a concern with PS3's on line play. I had a lot problems playing on line with COD 4, so I can't provide online reviews for this game. I'm strictly single player and not on line. So far its worth buying for the story mode. I usually start the play at a difficult level, but I recommend you start off on the lower difficulty level so you can learn the game play.
Better graphics than its predecessor is about all you get... April 24, 2008 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
My friends and I enjoyed the first rainbow six vegas game, even though it had its fair share of quirks ( no 1080p support, online issues, no co-op ). In buying the second game I expected quite a bit in terms of improvement over the first, but I was definitely let down. The graphics are improved, the story mode is anti-climatic, the online play is broken and suffers from disconnects and plenty of lag. At best this game deserves to be rented, I wish that I had waited to read some reviews rather than picking this game up on release day.
