This game is great!! June 29, 2008 First of all, I am NOT a fan of many PS3 games. The 3-D motion gives me a headache and makes me motion sick. The controls for the PS3 are just way too confusing on most games and there are WAY too many buttons. Give me a DS any day and I am a happy camper. But I still loved this game. I am not so sure I would have played through it on my own, but my boyfriend and I spent the better part of a weekend playing through it together. It was great!! The graphics are great on our 42 inch plasma, the game play is a blast and the humor is one of a kind. It is a little short if you just want to play through the game to beat it, but there are so many unlockables and things you have to find. We finished all three movies and we are only 60 percent done. I have never seen an Indiana Jones film, so you don't have to be a fan to enjoy this game. You don't have to be a child either! My boyfriend is 25 and I am 22. I am generally a puzzle game fan and my boyfriend loves shooters like CoD4 and Battlefield Bad Company. If you like any kind of game, pick this up. It is very enjoyable!!
Too Much Fun June 27, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Got it for the kids. Kept it for me! Lots of fun to work together to figure out secret puzzle solutions etc. Easier to figure out than Lego Star Wars - we have completed 50% in far fewer hours. Graphics are good. If you enjoy Star Wars, don't pass this up. It's different enough to add hours of fun to your gaming experience. We have been watching the Indy movies and much of the game follows the script of the first three movies!
A fun game that anyone can enjoy June 26, 2008 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
The Lego Indiana Jones game is an excellent game that is a lot of fun to play. The graphics are very good, only limited by the blockiness of Legos themselves. The music is exactly what you'd expect, which is a good thing. I missed out on Lego Star Wars (I've ordererd it now that I've beaten this game), so I was surprised by the amount of humor and sheer amount of fun in this game.
My only complaints are that it feels too short. I beat the game with about a 70% completion score in 10 hours. That's not all that short (Heavenly Sword and Call of Duty 4 were shorter), but it felt short. I just didn't want it to end.
For people who don't like collection games, this game will become annoying fast. You're constantly collecting Lego pieces, so if you find it annoying to run around picking up every little thing, then I'd pass on the game.
The game does not install anything on the hard drive (except the saved games of course). This results in some load times between levels, which aren't overly long, but probably could have been eliminated with an installation. Some people don't like the installation of games, but I like the lessening of load times, so this bugged me.
Overall though, this game is one of the better games I've played this year, in terms of a fun factor. Sure Metal Gear Solid 4 is a more ambitious game, but it hasn't kept a smile on my face the entire time like this game did. I definately recommend it.
Another Good Humourous Lego Game! June 19, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Originally bought for my 13 year old who still loves Lego and thoroughly enjoyed Lego Star Wars. He is really enjoying this game. It follows reasonably well the stories of each of the first three films. The graphics are great, the characters are pretty cool, the puzzles are not so difficult for little people, but on the other hand they aren't too boring for my son at his age either. There are a lot of levels and a lot of things to unlock. And a great deal of humour too such as "Poo Treasure" and the various cut scenes that like the other Lego Titles are very humourous. I think that it would be suitable for ages 4 and up, but some of the humour will be lost on the younger children and anyone who hasn't seen the films, but that won't spoil their enjoyment of the game. My son's only complaints are that "boys can't jump high, only girls can" and "girls won't carry stuff", and only certain characters can carry certain weapons or carry out certain actions. It has so far kept him entertained for around 35 hours (not all at once!) and he has many more hours of play left.
I loved it June 18, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
