Just to alert all the people buying the Game of the Year edition, DON'T WASTE your money. The standard version of this fantastic game is exactly the same and NO you don't get the 4 extra maps that many of the other reviews say you do. Maybe it has changed recently or whatever but the fact is now you no longer get extra maps. The maps cost $10 on the Playstation Network so find a cheaper copy and save your money. But the game is worth your hard earned penny if you like shooters.
If you don't this may be the one to draw you in. Anti-war supporters (which I am) might find the somewhat pro-war message of this game hard to swallow.

I really wish Activision made COD5 another Modern Warfare. This game completely changed around the COD franchise to something beyond what many have imagined.
Yes the story is not as long as people wanted it to be, but the experience of it was well worth going over.
People complain too much about how short or long a game is.
COD4 served it's purpose, leaving gamers begging for more of the action.
It has a true gripping story and represents a true side to what the Marines and SAS go through. It's a taste of these Elite fighters world.
COD4 is the game of the year for a good reason. This title is not given lightly and it was released at the end of that year too.
I would recommend anyone get this game, but find it at a reasonable price. Don't complain because you think it cost you too much.
GREAT GAME, GRAPHICS ARE INCREDIBLY REALISTIC December 8, 2008
This is on of the best shooter games out right now. The graphics and sound effects are incredibly realistic and you really feel pulled into the game. Offline play was fun but pretty easy to beat on all difficulties. Online play is the best on this game. There is a large amount of weapons and you can unlock many more. There are also perks that you can unlock that give you special abilities. Overall this is a very good game; my only problem with it is the lack of teamwork that the game involves. I have friends that I play online with and we like to work as a team and coordinate our attack and it is difficult to do on this game.
