Let me first start by saying this, if you have not played Gameday this year, you have not played it at all. This game has taken the biggest steps forward in improving its overall presentation and gameplay model. Madden and NFL2k3 are mostly a re hash of old product, Gameday however is very fresh. I am tired of seeing reviews online that are obviousy pointing out the huge disapointment that Gameday 2001 was. Folks, Gameday is back where it should be in 2003. Just demo it and see, there is far more to see. Many more realistic takle animations, and a very real sounding three man commentary round off this package. The CPU AI is very adjustable, from novice, to All Pro types, so any level you are at is fine, just adjust to taste. Anyone looking for the best PS2 football should pass over Madden for sure, NFL 2K3 is ok, but Gameday is once again king of the football hill!!!

better than gameday 2002,which was a sorry effort,NFL gameday 2003 allows you to catch tip passes,which is cool,one time i caught a pass when i was lying on the ground after the defender tip the ball,the defense is much better,thank you 989,cuz last year's defense was the worst i had ever seen,the graphics are smooth,meaning really good,theres 3 commentarys,play 20 season in GM,Play Online! you can break tackles which looks really good on this game,unlike the famous 1 hit your down deal, theres tons of new tackles,almost a different tackle everytime!theres training camp where you can learn how to run with the ball,throw,kick,punt and dodge defenders, if you love gameday,but hated last's years version,give this a try, but,if you love madden or NFL Fever,Gameday will NOT match those games,but a better effort this year,atlease rent it,i hope this review is some help.

This game is a definate improvement from Gameday 2001 (the last version i have played) but there are still flaws. First of all, the controls take some getting used to (at least for me, i'm more of a madden fan). Second, the running game is non existent. Picking a play is extremely difficult, especially if you do not want a play in the shotgun. When you are passing, the best way to gain yards whaen the recievers are covered is to make your QB run, the computer will not stop you at all. The graphics are extremely better than 2001, it finally looks like a ps2 game, but the players are too skinny and they never show their faces. and this year they also took time to put everyone's name in the game, which they didn't do in 2001. That is all i have to say for now.

I think gameday will catch up to the other football titles hopefully sooner then later but if they don't I don't care gameday always has something new to make you buy it next year gameday rules
