As good as San Andreas January 10, 2007 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
Not just a Rock Star rip off. Scarface is a good shooter, drug dealing, movie look a like game. Very entertaining and challenging many options with in the game.
Tony M "Is Back" January 9, 2007 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
My experience during play was complete emergence, everything was so real I felt as though I was Tony. This game has it all, including humor. Another great thing about this game is after 100% completion, you can continue to play and have lot's of action and fun, especially with the surprises you aquire upon completion. I have played a lot of games and along with the free roam experience, the A-I and mission challenges I put this game at the top of my game playing.
Vivendi Screws Up Another Franchise December 31, 2006 1 out of 5 found this review helpful
The only thing that worked properly in this game was the installation. There was obviously no QA or beta testing for this version. The mouse controls are so out of whack I couldn't even get past the tutorial let alone the first level. Call me cynical, but I think this was done on purpose to get people the buy the console versions. It's really sad because I really wanted to play this game due to the "what if" storyline. First Leisure Suit Larry now this. Burn in hell VUG!!
flaws galore November 19, 2006 8 out of 10 found this review helpful
Can't shoot through chain link. Tony talks too much when ordering a car when he is about to die. Can't tell good guys from bad. Can't or hard to stop the music or choose songs. Unintuitive interface. Can't use rage when in vehicle. Can't stop control from returning to center so it fights with mouse. Proximity AI bad as things get hit by Tony and car when they should not. Can't shoot high from boat so helicopter is a killer. If mouse is moved fast game can't see in map mode, must move it slow. Firing slows at worst times. Car can not do donuts in forward but can in reverse. Firing gets stuck on sometimes so you can't stop shooting. AI is generally dumb. Spoils of war are left in hard sometimes impossible to get to places. Can't climb almost any little thing. Car smashes to a stop on some curbs etc. Can't smash chain link with anything. Music turns back on after almost any action. Smoke comes from undamaged vehicle sometimes. Helper AI dumb. Can't figure out where to walk. Enemies appear from thin air. Enemies in trucks return after a few seconds when on island. Can't figure how to get to trunk on boat. Sometimes car gets delivered to home instead of Tony. What to do when 2 options for 1 control not explained. (trunk, get in car) Can't aim to rear of vehicle with mouse when moving forward with keyboard. Parked vehicles disappear. Can't see crosshairs if background is same color. (smoke) Sometimes when you collide with the smallest part vehicle your car sticks. Only one save game space.
This is an on going list but you get the idea. Most of this could have been fixed if the game would have been ported better from console.
Even with all this the game still gets a 3 star rating because it is fun to play.

Fantastic game but the controles are preset and can not be reconfigured.I am used to configuring the controles a certain way and could not get used to this setup.I guess it is like the old saying ( You can't teach an old dog new tricks )I am a gamer and this is the first time I have seen this.Hope this is not the way of the future in games. But SIERRA comes up with a lot of weird stuff.
