This was a surprise for my kids. I ordered it with two mats. They immmediately started playing. I was nice to see kids move for a chenge when the Ps2 is involved :). I tried it and it took my breath away! Great exercise!
Going back to "In the Groove" February 11, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My first ever game was In the Groove for PC/Mac because I didn't have a game console to buy DDR. My spouse gave me a PS2 for Christmas and bought me SuperNova 2. There are several differences between DDR and ITG in general which make me favor ITG:
1. Songs on ITG are longer than DDR. I like the longer songs for endurance reasons.
2. I can not stand the dancing people graphics and the razzing announcer when you screw up on DDR. Maybe because I am not used to it, but it gets on my nerves.
3. I like the arrow layouts on ITG better because they: A. Don't blink so they are easier to focus on. B. The colors on ITG clearly state the beat. Red is a quarter note, Blue is an 8th note, green is a 16th note, so it extremely easy to follow the arrow patterns.
As far as SuperNova 2 goes, I found many of the songs to be entirely TOO SLOW. I am talking about songs with 90 beats a minute so it doesn't matter how difficult the steps are, it won't be that much of a challenge. I sold my copy of Supernova 2 after having it for less than a month. However, I do like DDR Max 2. I like the songs WAY better than SuperNova 2. If you are wanting a recommendation for a DDR game for PS2, I would highly recommend Max 2. If you are a newbie, SuperNova 2 isn't that bad, but once you get better, you will want to leave those slow tempo-ed songs behind you.
Yet another fantastic DDR game. February 5, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This game is fun and keeps in line with all of the other great DDR games. It has great songs, and improved graphics for a real treat. Definitely recommend this game.
xmas gift January 18, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Bought this for my 14yr old daughter for Christmas and she loves it. In fact, I just asked her what she thought about it and she said its really awesome! I wanted to get her something that would get her off the couch and this has helped. At first she was really frustrated because she was having trouble with the steps but after a few days she was doing pretty good. She was on that thing for hours and really worked up a sweat. I thought it looked pretty easy and gave it a try and boy does it work you out. I am not as good as my daughter and I have it on easy. All in all I think it was a good buy.
One Of The Best Games Ever! January 9, 2008 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
I love this game, and you will too! For any DDR fan this is a must have! Even non DDR freaks will love this game. The music is just so much fun.
Thank You For Your Time, Mr. Flores
