Awesome game, best FPS out there!!! October 15, 2008 I have read some reviews and a few of them say that this game seems inferior compare to Call of Duty 4, to me thats weird because in my opinion this game is far better in almost every way.
The new Frostbite technology make this game a very realistic experience specially when you can destroy basically every thing that comes across your sight.
With this game you have more and longer missions than COD4 to me thats a big plus since I prefer to take my gaming of line.
Great missions and entertaining Characters with good sense of humor makes a nice combination.
To be honest I hated Battlefield 2 but rest assure that this is a completely different game, better in every way.
Overall I give 5 stars to this game because the developers make an awesome job presenting an entertaining game with a completely destructible environment.
Easy does it, Dice October 3, 2008 Ok I understand that one of the main points of the game is destructibility, but when it goes as far as being able to demolish a strong wooden fence with your five inch dagger-blade, it gets a bit ridiculous. Also I have the ability to take down a tree with one bullet. I just think that they should make the destruction a little more believable. Otherwise, this game is spectacular. Haggard and Sweetwater are quite entertaining and I chuckle at their wisecrack jokes. The weapons are realistic (even though some of them don't exist in real life) and they make the greatest reloading sound you'll ever hear. That's another thing, the sounds are amazing. Theoretically, after an explosion, I could say "I couldn't have said that explosion better." They have the initial explosion, then the rubble and dust falling to the ground, which portrays every aspect of something blowing up. I forgot to mention something: the unlimited sprinting does give you a false sense of accomplishment when you escape a horde of enemies, as well as the syringe that you can heal yourself with every 10 seconds. This game is exactly like call of duty 4, just less somber and serious. The multiplayer has the same concepts, having the +10 after every kill (with an extra 5 for headshot and a lot of other bonuses), bringing back vivid memories of getting those ten points off of that cod 4 kill. Snipers. This is a big aspect of the game. Don't get upset if you hit an enemy straight on in the chest and he doesn't die. You'll get the assist points when someone else kills him. Most of the snipers are one shot kills, but once in a while you won't bring him down immediately. Other times, it will look like you hit him straight on, but no damage was done. This creates a lot of frustration when you had an idiot just standing still, inviting you to headshot him, and when you do it, no damage is done. That needed to be fixed. Don't be daunted by the fact that there is only 1 type of multiplayer game. You have to either attack the defenders' gold crates or defend your own. It never gets old. You don't have to take the crate part seriously, you can just treat it like a death match and get lots of points. It all depends on where your priorities are. Also, being the Russians is hilarious. You'll see what I mean when you play it. In terms of kids between the ages of 13 and 15, parents, do not be alarmed at the fact that the characters carry guns. Your child will never see a drop of blood, nor is the game disturbing at any point. If you're reading this with your child, I'm sure he's giving you that look of hope as if I am his savior. I'll take the time to say your welcome to your son. Really, it's not that bad at all. Fantastic job, boys, keep the good games coming.
Awesome! September 30, 2008 Single Player is ok, but the XBox Live multiplayer is so GREAT that it brings the game a solid 5 star rating! Hours and hours of tremendous fun!
Okay shooter September 17, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Single player review: I really wanted to like this game more, but something about the gameplay didn't do it for me. Maybe it was having infinite medicine, or the fact that the enemy doesn't respawn with each continuation, or getting shot at out of nowhere constantly, or buildings all having the same floorplans, or all the environments looking too similar, or the graphics being just okay. The only cool things were the weapons and the destructable buildings, but that only goes so far. COD4 is still the best shooter out there.
Good Overall Shooter September 17, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Good, fun shooter but it seemed a little short. I think the graphics are good and the game play is well done. It is good if you want a shooter that has vehicles and has a squad. However, the guys in the squad cannot die which was a downside.
