4 out of 5 stars like your in a movie. lots of fun, great story   October 20, 2008
this game was lots of fun and should be played if you own a ps3

5 out of 5 stars One of the Finest Titles on the PS3   October 17, 2008
Uncharted: Drake's Fortune is easily one of the finest titles found on the PS3 and on all current generation systems. Production value is through the roof and the entire game has a high quality polished feel to it.

Graphics shine and truly stand out amongst the best any platform has to offer. Environments vary from lush tropics to deserted military bases to ancient ruins. Every step of the way and around every corner you'll find yourself stopping to admire the scenery.

The voice acting featured in Uncharted really stands as some of the best found in games period. The character interactions draw you into the story and encourage you to push on to see what's next. Sound effects are carried out well and the musical score is understated but thumps when the action heats up.

Gameplay, one area that often thumps the best of developers is tight in Uncharted. The controls are always responsive and the platforming elements are a joy to play because of it.

All told the game will take average gamers anywhere from 8-15 hours to finish on it's 'Normal' difficulty setting. There is reason enough to dive back into the game, however, as the developer has included all kinds of unlockable extras. Everything from new character costumes to enemy skins to weapons and making of videos. I really haven't seen a console game offer so much extra content. The addition of trophy support also encourages players to replay the game on higher difficulty levels.

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune is a must play for any PS3 owner!

5 out of 5 stars Visual lush, Great game play   October 17, 2008
There are a lot of positive reviews, so I'll keep it short. The visuals are really stunning, the game play is engaging and exciting enough to captivate nimble gamers, and the storyline is really innovative. I was also impressed by the length of the game: 22 chapters. You won't finish this one in a day or two. Now onto the harder levels!

3 out of 5 stars NOT BAD   October 17, 2008

PRETTY GOOD GRAPHICS. THE STORY IS JUST ALRIGHT. IT IS KIND OF SHORT. LOTS OF CLIMBING AND JUMPING, SCALING WALLS, ETC.....I WISH I HAD RENTED IT INSTEAD OF BUYING IT THOUGH.

2 out of 5 stars Ridiculous   October 17, 2008

This game gets 2 stars because the graphics are good and the theme is interesting. However, how can a guy take a shot to the head and still keep running? Every enemy must be shot at least 3 times to die, so if you aim perfectly and shoot the guy in the head, he still keeps shooting at you, and you need to pop him 2 more times. Just plain ridiculous. The waves of enemies keeps you from progressing to more interesting parts. The beginning was fun, as there was puzzle solving and interesting things to do, but once you get to Chapter 3, the game becomes a shooting arcade, and having the enemy keep running and shooting at you once you have popped him squarely in the head makes this game so very dull. Too bad. They had a good concept. I'm wondering about the age range and education level of those who give this game 5 stars. Not that being young or still not have a higher education is a bad thing, it's just that the 30 and 40-somethings have different expectations of games.
