WELL I CAN SAY THAT THIS GAME IS AWESOME IN A WAY THAT YOU WONT HAVE TO DEPEND TOO MUCH ON THE CHARACTER'S HYPER COMBO TO WIN A MATCH.(UNLIKE MARVEL VS CAPCOM IN MY OPINION.)AND THIS WILL BRING YOU TO A LENGTHY,BUT EXCITING MATCHES(WITH A WORTHY OPPONENT,THOUGH..)AND GOING UP AGAINST CYBER AKUMA IS MORE CHALLENGING THAN FACING ONSLAUGHT.THIS IS A MUST IF YOU'RE A STREET FIGHTER FAN,OR A MARVEL SUPER HEROES FOLLOWER.WHATEVER...

4 out of 5 stars Great, considering the 2D capabilites of the Playstation   November 7, 2000

If you don't have a Dreamcast and you love Capcom's Vs. games, Marvel Super Heroes Vs. Street Fighter for Playstation is a decent alternative. There are some notable flaws, as the Playstation hardware is just not made to run these type of games. For instance, the biggest let down is the abscence of tag-teaming (the Playstation does not have enough RAM to store more than 2 characters within one loading session). Then there's the animation...there are definetly more than a few frames missing, but once you get used to it it's OK. However, there a few gameplay extras Capcom included to keep players interested: a "helper" character for each match, a healing vitality gauge, and a combo system that allows you to chain hyper combos together. Best of all though, the gameplay stays relatively fast with minimal slowdown (with the exception of extreme activity). This is another very noticeable improvement over the Playstation ports of Marvel Super Heroes and X-Men Vs. Street Fighter. If nothing else, Capcom is to be commended for putting up with the Playstation's limitations to squeeze out the best possible port of this game.

The game has great gameplay and I just loved it.( even better when you get a code to play the with the boss). Great Game. and easy combo's to make! You have all the good Characters from bith street fighter and marvel comics. about 3 hyper combos for each person too. I loved this game.

4 out of 5 stars Two Great Tastes that Taste Great Together   November 17, 1999

The classic Capcom fighting game interface has yet again been reincarnated to the form of an all out battle royale between a select group of characters from the popular Marvel Comics and members from the memorable Street Fighter II series, as well as the more recent Street Fighter Alpha games. The fighting in this game gave me a much more "super hero" feeling than many other games of the same genre, and the constant action left me in a state of giddiness for hours after play. However, there was a slight drawback to the excitement in the way of two characters whom I have no idea why Capcom chose to put in the lineup of fighters, Blackheart and Shuma-Gorath. These two characters were awkward and their movements were strange and unusual. I thought it would be more exciting to have other, more reknown super heroes to take their places, such as possibly Storm from the X-Men or Iron Man, but other than that, it was a great game that kept me and my brother on our feet yelling at the top of our lungs for hours.
