It deleted my saved file and the cheats did not work. If you like this game, you are an idiot.

I highly reccomend that you do not purchase this Gameshark. I have one myself and I am highly dissatisfied. This product has a very difficult to understand and non-user friendly interface. Not only that but it will erase your saved file. It i very hard to download new codes onto your Gameshark as well. If there were a rating option lower than 1, I would have chosen it.

I bought my gameshark for my pokemon games. It allowed me to unlock the code needed to get Mew and Celibi!
There is a chance if you use the altering code for items, such as indefinate money or changing your antidotes to rare candies, at least in Pokemon Gold, it will mess up the coding a little. But it will not erase your game.
The only bad thing, if you can call it that, after I used the indefinate money code in Gold, items strangely began appearing. I suddenly had 4 of the 99 black apricorns in my pack. And so on. But I just sold them.
For 'catching them all' this is worth it. Not to mention you can get as many Master Balls as you want!
This is worth every penny spent. If you want to beat any game, not just pokemon, get the gameshark! ^_^

Every review i read, i read someone saying that it can delete your files. But it tells you how to prevent that. And it even says that on the box. Plus, you are cheating and may deserve to have your file erased. Overall, a good product that you need to learn how to use.

Cheating using the Gameshark alters the game's memory and causes it to become unstable. This can cause 'junk' characters onscreen, crashes, and can delete saved games. Use at your own risk.
