1 out of 5 stars WORST GAME EVER!   July 1, 2006
When I heard a new spyro game was out, I happily rented it. When I entered it into my PS2, I quickly noticed that this game was not made by Insomniac (My favorite video game creators.) I assumed that I may still like this game. Well, I was 100% wrong! Why? 1) They have Ripto return after you defeated him in the first game. 2) Graphics that make it look like the worlds are made of paper, and 3) The glitches. I then thought, The perfect spyro series has been ruined. So, instead of buying this awful, and stupid game, play the PS1 spyro games. Sadly, this is the worst game I have ever and always will be, other than any PS2 spyro game. Bye.

2 out of 5 stars spyro got STUCK in the ground from a dive   December 11, 2005
ive always liked spyro since i played it at a friends house, and i ended up really liking it. it started when we got a PS1 and had a blast beatting and borrowing them. 1-3 were great. then our PS1 broke and we got a gamecube. and at Christmas we also got number 4 of spyro. the only problem was is that it was the same villian(i thought he'd be a MORRON to mess with me again), plot, scattered junk, graphics, spyro moves a wierd and SLOOOOW way, all of the above are games 1-3 mixed up into a bunch of TRASH! well time for the results. ooooooooohhhhhhh!

graphics,1-5, it looks like its been made out of PAPER.
sound,2-5, havent played for so long i forgot, one thing i do remember is the "YOUCH" every time spyro runs into a FREAKEN wall. ANOYING.
game,1-5, its to short, theirs NO fun in collecting DUMB gems, and theres nothing to go back for.
OVERALL,I GIVE IT A 2-5. piece of JUNK!

i reccomend only renting and NO buying. get an older spyro.

I loved Spyro on PS1 and I couldn't wait to get a PS2 to play Enter the Dragonfly. Well,I got it on day and I hated the graphics and dialouge. I thought the worlds were coool, but not that much fun. I also didn't like how Spyro looked when her moved. It looked so bad and fake. I couldn't wait for a new Spyro to come out after I played Enter the Dragonfly.

That's what Spyro says whenever you charge in to a wall. That's also the sound I made when I was playing (the whole 30 minutes). Who would have thought the Spyro on PS2 was worse then Spyro on PS1?

Graphics: 2/5 Wow. They're all pretty and shiny and stuff, but somehow look choppy and disorienting. Water looks crinkly and WAY too much like paper if you can imagine that. The baskets with gems in them look SO MUCH like the real things. YET STILL CRAPPY!!!!!!!!!!! *shudder* Give me old Spyro any day!

Controls: 3/5 ok. pretty much same as all the other Spyros . But now L1 swithches your flame (flame/bubbles/ice) and R1 does something else. God, i don't even know. Oh, and by the way, Spyro's really slow, hafta charge if you want to get anywhere.

Sound: music, ok. whatever.

Storyline: Ripto comes again (gee, i thought i creamed him) and is like "I'm takin over Whatever, *waves wand thingy* *dragonflies disappear* "Well, that wasn't supposed to happen, but OK!" thats pretty much how far i got.

On Replay: 0/5 You must think i have a lot of time in my hands.

Overall: I dunno how to get the average, but i'd say 2/5. Buy Spyro 1. Still the best after everything.

1 out of 5 stars Let's make this quick and short...   July 10, 2005

Please do not purchase this game.

I have been a huge fan of Spyro since I was, oh, about 4 or 5. It was the first game I purchased when I recieved my Playstation as a present. All of the original games were exciting, fun to play, with memorable characters, beautiful landscapes, and an original plot.

A couple years ago, I got sick, and as a get well present, my parents bought me a Playstation 2, along with Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly. I stuck it in the machine, started playing, and became very disappointed.

The loading time between levels took extremely long, and my game had many glitches. I traded it for another copy of the game, which had glitches as well. This went on for about 8 different copies of Spyro 4, until my parents refused to take me out to exchange it anymore. My current game has a serious glitch in the first level, where all the landscapes are purple, and the dragonflies are frozen in place, and if I attempt to rescue them to machine freezes. Since I can't get any dragonflies, I am unable to move forward in the game.

The graphics are good, but they are too bright and smoot for my tastes, and when there is a delay between an action and the sound it makes, so that when you run into sheep, or the like, no sounds come out until a couple of seconds after it explodes, which is rather odd to watch.

My opinion.
