A Bad Spyro Game!!!!!! October 10, 2004 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
When this game first came out, I was very eager to get it. The last Spyro game, Year of the Dragon, was awesome so I thought this one would be even better since its now for PS2 and has to have some way better graphics. But when I got it, I was disappointed. The graphics aren't much better than the previous game and the only thing new was the 3 new breaths that Spyro can breath: Ice, Bubbles, and Electricity. The game is so glichy, that I start looking at doors to see what was on the other side. The game is EXTREMLY SLOW and takes about 2 minutes to load, the PSone games were faster. The enemies are stupid and lack creativity. There is about 2 types of enemies in each level. And the music sucks. It is different from the other games and it sounds like it should be in a infomercial on traveling. The only good song in the game was the song from Luau Island, I find myself humming that tune every once in a while. I think the worst thing of all was that this game only has 8 levels. They are a little bigger in this game but still, only 8 levels. So overall this game is bad and if you're thinking of buying, you should really think twice, I'd buy A Hero's Tale instead.
ok i guess October 10, 2004 I've been a spyro fan since the first game. But this game is a big disapionment.WHY?!Ok i'll tell you why.The reason is that in the previous game's of spyro including spyro season of ice for gba had new boss. But this game ripto is back. Not that weak little shortey again.Anyways hear are the pro's and con'sPros: The graphics are good enogh 7,6/10 The music is good 8,8/10 The breath's are awsome 10/10 Cons: The sound i hate it The boss battle's are stupid No playable caractar's In my saying the game is not worth you're money. If you like spyro rent the game.
Very Poorly Made July 12, 2004 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
This game is a waste of time and lacks a good story line and has very little adventure. Spyro used to be a cute, funny, and feisty dragon. Now, he is a plump, lazy, slow, and lacks creative energy. This game has huge glitches such as: slow loading, swimming in air, poor camera angels, Spyro trying to climb walls without ladders. YOu would at least think there would be more levels (or portals) than just the 9 that are there. The characters are not exciting or well drawn; they look creepy and lack humor. This game is boring, and the first three games were 1000 times better. To be honest, I think Nintendo 64 games have better graphics and better story lines. many of the scenes will freeze in the middle of play. This is very frustrating to the player. The music is very child like and does not fit with Spyro. Bringing Ripto back shows the producers are not expanding the games imagination. This game is very expensive to buy, but honestly, not even worth the money it costs to RENT it. The 3rd game I bought for $15, and it is much more exciting. A buyer would hope that the 4th game would be higher in technology. I love Spyro and I am a big fan. But, seriously, this game is practically the worst game I have ever played. The producers should not have been so eager to get the next game out, simply to make money. They should have waited until they had created a game that would have been better than the previous 3.
I love Spyro! But the last two were better. July 11, 2004 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I'll keep this simple. Nothing really new, but why change a great game? I loved all the Spyro games especially the last two and I hope another one comes out someday! PLEASE? However, I could not complete the game 100% (all the dragonflies) to beat the final boss and it irritated me. It was the level where you have the time limit to kill all the bees...I just can't do it and there are no cheats(for the desperate)so I would rate the last two games as better.
Ok if it's cheap June 25, 2004 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
i bought this game for $50.00. i don't think it's even worth $30! only buy this game if it's cheap. i loved the first three spyro games, but this one's just not as good.
