I;ve been playing it for a while now (taking a month or so off at a time) and I'm really enjoying this game. I'm a big fan of the show, and I really didn't know what to expect from the game, but it blends with the show really well.

I had high hopes for this game. Almost every single review I read was positive. They talked about good graphics, good voice acting, and a generally good game. None of that is true. Sure, some of the voice acting (from the actual cast of the show) is fine, but the horribly long pauses between each line of dialogue ruin anything that might be there. And that's not even counting the game play, which is simplistic "run around and click until you find the right door to open" and "fight badly." Which brings us to what could laughably be called a fighting engine. I spent most of my time yelling: "No, don't kick the air, kick the vampire. Turn around, turn around. No, go the direction I'm pointing." I press the punch button, and two seconds later, I punch. Great. This game is horrible. Please stay away. Stay far away. Put a stake in it, it's done.

Awesome game and story December 30, 2003

This game is one of the best action/adventure games that I've played in a while. Decent controls, with a well rounded combat system for the slayer. A very interesting storyline which pulls you in, like being part of the show. Liked the behind-the-scenes extras, but I thought the multi-player could have been a little more detailed. Still, the game is plenty of fun, and the chance to play as several different characters kept things from getting repetitive. I'll defintely be looking for a sequel to this one.

Controls are great December 27, 2003
I'm pretty much a novice gamer but that's not for lack of trying. I have to disagree with the person who complained about the controls. The controls are a big part of why I loved this game. They made sense and were simple enough for me to get. Even at first when I didn't know what the heck I was doing, they enabled me to catch on quick without dying. Can't wait until the next game. The only complaint I have is Willow's voice and the multiplayer games. The multiplayer games are really senseless and unfun.

And Willow's voice is awful. Very whiny. But whoever played Buffy got it right on.

I am a huge BtVS fan and when i hear they were making a game i bought it when it came out. The first game was awsome...I'm actually playing it as I type this. Great graphics, great combos...the works. For me, the second game...which is good...dosent live up to the first game. The seconds game lacked the quick fighting techniques that the first one had. It is a great game for any Buffy fan and i recomend that you buy it if you are a fan. For me tho, it stands that the first game is definately better than the second.
