5 out of 5 stars One of the Best Games I've ever played   September 9, 2008
Okami (either the Wii verson or the PS2) is one of the most creative wonderful games I've ever playied. I would recomend this game to just about anyone. This is one of those games that you can just keep playing and playing, even once you've beaten the game, even more fun and un-lockables open for playing.

Couldn't get past the mandatory 30 minute intro. Bored me to tears. All of the 5 star ratings I see here? Must be Capcom employees screwing around.

Seriously, overlook this game and you will not miss it one bit.

5 out of 5 stars Instant Classic   July 6, 2008
Since the game came out, it was underappreciated but since it was released for the Wii, attention was given to the awesome graphics and story. Great purchase if you can find a PS2 title!!

5 out of 5 stars More than just good graphics   June 16, 2008
This game has amazing and unique art, a good variety of characters, and although some of the boss battles aren't very challenging, "Okami" has enough gameplay to keep you busy for quite a while (it's a 40+ hour game). Apart from the main storyline there are sidequests, challenging puzzles, and humorous cutscenes. I was especially impressed with the accuracy of Amaterasu's (the main character) and the rest of the animals' modeling and movement, which seem to be very lifelike.

One of my favorite games, I highly recommend it!

5 out of 5 stars Absolutely Phenomenal   June 6, 2008
Okami is, in my opinion, one of those rare and innovative games to come to a gaming system that not too many people know about. The game play is awesome, the visualizations are excellent and the in game art...just wow. I really have to say, I've played about 25% of the way through the game and it just keeps getting better and better the further I go. The main story line is full of character and the side missions and collection missions just add to the overall entertainment factor of the game. I know I'm a few years late on this game, but I can see why it has become such a cult classic game and why the price is on a continuous rise. This game has it all, from live action fighting to intricate puzzles. I can't say enough about the game to actually express how cool it really is.

The only warning I give before you play the game is this, be aware that their is a very long intro to the game, an extensive tutorial that the less patient may find annoying and a lot of character dialog. Aside from that...this game ranks right up there with Call of Duty 4, FF II (US) and VII, StarCraft and Knights of the Old Republic.
