If you're one of those that just want to watch blu-ray DVDs with your PS3, then you need this remote.

If you use your PS3 to watch a lot of movies, get this remote. It's much easier than using the PS3 controller. It's Bluetooth, not IR, so you associate it with your PS3 just like a controller or other Bluetooth device -- takes about 15 seconds.
remote works and has all the right features February 15, 2007
Nice remote works well has all the right features including turning on and off the system. I believe that this is the only remote that we can use with the PS3. Simply put we have no other choice but I believe that it is better than most DVD remotes.

The sixaxis controller does everything that you want to do with blu ray / dvd playback but its not convenient at all. Also the Sixaxis is incredibly sensitive and the slightest motion will press one of the buttons causing unexpected results.
This blu ray remote from Sony solves all of these and does it with style. It can be used for browsing the PS network store as well, which is an additional bonus. This is a must have for all PS3 owners.
Great value for money at this price.

If you are going to enjoy Blu-Ray DVD's on your Playstation 3 You may want this remote. It was very confusing for me to work the DVD with the regular PS3 Game controler. I had to ask my kids, How do you pause?... how do you rewind?... They would say stuff like, Press the Triangle... Press R1... Press X, No Press X THEN R1... Forget all that. This remote was only $24.00 And operates just like any other remote that you are already used to. It very simple to figure out, Has every function that you will ever need,(and more). And the price was very reasonable (if you purchased any of the other PS3 stuff you know what I mean). I consider it a "Must Have" if you are going to watch DVD's on your PS3.
