I picked one of these up at Gamestop and it works perfectly. If people would actually READ the instructions then you would have no problems with it at all.
MADCATZ Playstation 3 Bluetooth Headset March 13, 2008 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I payd 50$ for this headset, that was a bad idea. This headset work for me 10-15 min, and then stop working. The voice quality is terrible. ...DO NOT BUY!!!...
Very Bad Blutooth February 27, 2008 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
I couldn't agree more with most of the other reviews. This is advertised to work with the PS3, and it barely works with it. I bought it because I thought it was designed for use with the PS3. I was sadly mistaken. Here is a list of my biggest complaints:
1. Connecting to the PS3 was pretty easy, but the sound quality was poor, and many times I would start a game, it would lose connectivity to the PS3 once I was in the game. The only way to reconnect would be to exit the game and connect it again through the Audie Device Settings. Anyone with a PS3 knows what a pain this is.
2. There is no ear piece and it lays over your ear, so to avoid feedback on the PS3 you had to turn the volume down to the lowest setting and then you could barely hear what anyone was saying.
3. This did work best with my cell phone, but everyone I talked to complained that there was an echo. Again, I had to turn down the volume to the lowest setting to avoid the echo. When I was driving in my car, it had to be almost completely silent to hear anything or I had to press the ear piece against my ear to hear the caller. This completely ruins the thought of "hands free".
In summary, avoid this at all costs. My friend brought over a Plantronic Voyager 510, and it was like night and day. It worked perfectly with the PS3. I'll be purchasing the Plantronic shortly. Avoid the Mad Catz at all cost.
Blue teeth, anyone? February 10, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Like most BlueTooth devices, this one sucks raw eggs.
PS3 found it okay, (BT setup is a bit tedious on PS3) but as near as I can figure, it does not work.
