5 out of 5 stars This is the BEST!   October 26, 2008

Just like playing the real thing. Well, I can't imagine it could get any better on a tv screen.

Felt like I was playing the real game...just wasn't bruising my palms when I 'bumped' the game.
My son and I stayed up all nite playing..he loved it.

4 out of 5 stars Amazingly accurate   October 25, 2008
The games (including sounds) are all just as I remember from my 70's teen years. Flippers are very responsive, trajectories seem to be very accurate, and the sound effects are all there. Very cool. I play on a 56" television most of the time, and you can see everything pretty well on that size screen (as good as the design of the original game "allows" you to see anyway). I took my Wii on vacation and played on a 27" TV and it was a little tougher, but still fun nonetheless. Worth a look if your teen years were spent as Tommy like mine.

5 out of 5 stars Getcherself a hot dawg!   October 24, 2008
Okay, I will admit that I mostly bought this game just to have the chance to play "Funhouse" again. I'm pleased to say the Wii version is a surprisingly good representation of its three-dimensional namesake! It plays like the real game, and the sound is just as good as you would get in a boardwalk arcade.

I also really enjoyed seeing Whirlwind and Pinbot again too. I spent many, many hours (and quarters) playing both of those back in the day.

My only negative feeling on this title was that I wish there were more "good" tables included. Some of them have a cute nostalgic quality, but the oldest ones are actually kind of boring. I like that there are goals that are unlockable, but I wish you could unlock more games or features too.

But you can't beat it for the price! I got this title on sale, and it was actually completely worth the under $15 I paid, just for the few games I really liked.

I can only hope they come out with a product that includes "Bride of Pinbot" next!

4 out of 5 stars Incredibly lifelike, great game selection, extras the only thing lacking   October 24, 2008
My husband and I played pinball on our first date---we both were huge fans from childhood. Now it's harder and harder to find "real" pinball machines out there, but games like this ease the pain a lot!

This game is incredibly lifelike! You can really almost forget you are not at an arcade. The physics, the background sounds, the camera angles---all top notch! The games are very well selected. Funhouse is probably my husband's favorite game of all time. He calls it Rudy Hits, as anyone who has played it will understand. It was really a dream come true for him to have it at home to play any time! We also love Whirlwind and Pinbot. Black Knight was always a game he loved to hate, so that has a place too! A few of the older games are fun as novelties mostly, but still well done.

I just wish there was more extras here. The tournament mode is a little lame, and it would be fun to get more of a reward for a high score. That's always been one of the best parts of pinball---getting a free game for high scores. It makes it feel like you are really getting something. Here, you do get a token for a free game, but since after a bit most of the games have unlimited play, it doesn't feel like much. It would be neat if there were games you could unlock, or maybe even some sort of minigames you could get. Most video games have something like that now, and I guess I have gotten addicted to it.

However, I would absolutely, 100% recommend this game to pinball fans!
