Very Amusing Game October 23, 2008 Things I like about this game: 1. Many tables to play. 2. Specific goals to attempt to achieve. 3. Tournaments and other challenges.
Things I don't like so much: 1. Sometimes, you have no idea how to get the "goal." Like, how do I light the special etc.
I spent many hours in the arcade playing these pinball machines throughout the 1980s. Williams has made many of the classic machines that have been amusing people for years. The graphics are good (for a Wii game) and using the remote and the nunchuck as the flippers and to bump the table are a nice touch. Very much worth the price.
Solid, Realistic, Recommended October 23, 2008 My wife and her dad have been into pinball games since she was little. I found this in the gold box and decide to complete a book order with it to qualify for free shipping. The surprise was well received.
Gameplay is very straightforward. It took me a little longer to get accustomed to the control setup. Being left handed, I usually hold the nunchuck in my right hand, but the game requires it to be in your left. After getting used to hold the controllers 'backward' I realized how much I didn't know about playing pinball.
The game includes plenty of extras including a guided instruction to playing and scoring on each table and the original flyer for the table.
After handling the controls and realizing how each game is played, the basic goals can be easily achieved and allow you to unlock all of the tables.
The game is great for solo and partner play, I can't imagine playing with more than one other person because of the varying gameplay length.
Pros: Great graphics Intuitive controllers Realistic Hours of enjoyment (especially for the casual player) Price
Cons: Intro video is poor quality and can put out a low expectation off the bat Can't customize controls
WIlliams Pinball Hall of Fame October 22, 2008 Great pinball game for the Wii! If you love pinball, you will love this game. All tables play like the real ones do. They even have a challenge mode where you have to get a certain score before you move onto the next table. As always, if you can wait for a sale, save your money and get it then!
Blast from the past! October 22, 2008 This collection of pinball games has provided my family hours and hours of entertainment. The graphics are very realistic and the games are challenging. If you like the old pinball games you'll love this game. It is very addictive. I find myself saying "just one more game" about 10 times.
Feel like a kid again October 21, 2008 I was a skeptic, but bought it anyway. Besides Rayman and the Raving Rabbids, this is now the most played Wii game at our house. Not only do my wife and I love how it feels and sounds like the old pinball machines but our kids think pinball is pretty cool. A must buy for pinball wizards.
