I played Resident Evil CODE: Veronica for the Dreamcast, when it was new, and thought, "There's a good game ruined by poor controls." When I replayed CODE: Veronica X on the PS2, I thought the same thing.
Now, admittedly, I haven't played Outbreak, though I will, but Resident Evil 4 takes the awful control scheme from the previous games and tweaks it just enough to make the game fun. Add in a more well-developed plot, and RE4 alone makes this bundle worth buying.
As for another reviewer who dismissed the fun of playing RE4 on a PS2 after having played it on the Wii? For shame. You can't compare the gameplay of a last-gen console with the Wii. It's like comparing apples and arsenic.

I am extremely disappointed with all three of these games, even the forth one. It may partly have to do with the fact that I played Resident Evil 4 on the wii before the PS2 so of course my outdated system would seem dismal. The games are awkward and hard. The controls are ridiculous and makes the games not very fluid. Accessing your weapons is hard, especially when you are under the stressful situation of being mauled by a bunch of zombies. The games do not provide nearly enough ammunition that you need, and you find yourself kicking and punching zombies more than using your gun. Also, unlike the wii games (where you can shake the remote and free yourself from a zombie that's attacking) you have no way to fend yourself once a zombie begins to attack you-you just have to take the damage until someone frees you or the zombie is done attacking. Overall I would not recommend these games for the PS2. I do however, highly recommend Resident Evil 4 for the wii and also the multi-player Resident Evil-Umbrella Chronicals.

I love the graphics on this game, almost realistic movements. the voices were very realistic...no stutters like some games(doesnt sound computer generated). I will admit that in some places the zombies seem a bit phoney looking but it is a game after all. I highly recommend these games to anyone that has never played them and for those that have keep playing.

Wow!!! Three great Capcom "Resident Evil Classics" for the Playstaion 2(includes:"Resident Evil CODE: Veronica X",Resident Evil Outbreak,and "Resident Evil 4") in a great collector's set and at awesome cheap price,need I say more!!! I pre-ordered mine,can't wait to get it!!! Very Recommended!!! Thank you Capcom!!! A great way to get your "Resident Evil" fix!!! Hours and hours of fun!!! Two thumbs up!!! Five stars!!! A+
