Excellent Value - Take it as 10$ off PS2 + a free game June 21, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I don't think I need to say any thing about Playstation 2, the most successful console ever. I bought this bundle to play God Of War I and II on PS2. The singstar game is OK, not as great as Rock Band etc, but it is fun. So, this bundle is excellent value, if you are looking to buy a PS2, you are getting a 10$ off PS2 with a free game, that is quite innovative and fun to play with your family/friends.
Finally Have a PS2 June 15, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I realize I'm painfully late to the party, but it's a cheap and great alternative to the current gen systems. Over 1700 games in the library with new games still coming out regularly? Nice. I'm not fond of karaoke, so I sold the game that came with it and brought the price of a white PS2 down to $99 like the others.
Kids love it April 20, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I am way late entering the video game craze, but I wanted some cheap entertainment for my kids -- and me. My sister recommended this bundle, and I have to agree with her -- it is a great deal. The PS2 is still viable as a game console, and the Sing Star is just fun.
Dont buy if u wanna play next gen games April 12, 2008 0 out of 10 found this review helpful
I bought it to try to see if I like playing games again after a period of 8 years and yes I did like playing games again. But biggest problem with PS2 is, it does not have next generation games and I bought Xbox 360 subsequently and I am very pleased with the latter one with games such as Halo 3, COD 4, BioShock, Rainbow six Vegas one see the true capability of the system and the level of engagement of the gamer with the games, with PS2 it hardly has these kind of games and I don't use it anymore!
Great system, but be careful March 26, 2008 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
I bought this Playstation in February after my last system stopped reading discs. With the new slim model, turning the unit off is very important. You have to hold down the reset button to turn it off, which is not always apparent. To make a long story short, the laser in my old unit overheated and melted. The laser can be replaced, but as a warning to others who may be buying this product, make sure it is off when you are done with it. It is very frustrating when you try to use your gaming system and it won't read the discs. Thus far, I have been using caution and the system works fine. Also, the singstar game is great for get togethers with friends. It can get pretty hysterical, especially with the playback feature.
