5 out of 5 stars Worth It   June 25, 2008
Link's Crossbow Training and the Wii Zapper are a must have at $20. The Wii Zapper has a pretty sleek design (hiding cables) and is straightforward to use. The game itself is fun and challenging for users of all ages.

The Wii Zapper...well it sucks. It looks like it would be a lot bigger, but its not. It's very flimsy and light and quite honestly poorly made. It is odd feeling, the trigger button stinks, and it just feels overall a bad video-game-gun.

The game that comes with it...is not fun. Don't let other people fool you; it is not interesting.

You are much better off buying the Wii Perfect Shot Gun by Nyko and House of the Dead 2 & 3 Return.

3 out of 5 stars Poor Ergonomics, Fun Game   June 19, 2008
I enjoyed the Link's Crossbow game that came along with the Wii Zapper, but the Zapper is another story. The Zapper's setup is easy but actual play leaves a lot to be desired. Nintendo's insistance that the zapper not look like a gun has left it not looking like much of anything. It is ackward to use and there are not many options for how to grip it. It would be much better if you could reconfigure the buttons so that the trigger fired from the button on front of the nunchuk. Buy it for the game but look elsewhere if you want a gun controller for arcade/fps games.

It works. Dunno if it's worth $20 bucks, but it's kinda fun to have some shooting games.

5 out of 5 stars What an addictive game!   June 11, 2008

Disclaimer: I'm not a longtime gamer or a fan of role playing games. But I am seriously addicted to this game. It's almost the only game we've played since mid March, when I got it. You can make it all the way through fairly quickly, unlocking all the levels. The mastery comes in perfecting the scores to beat, say, your roommate. I have over 287,000 pts in level 3 and had to be near perfect to beat my roomie's top score. Finding the extra ways to get points (rupees, things on the ceiling, etc) and getting those multipliers will keep the non-pro gamer happy well past the $20.00 investment. Get this game unless you want to sleep, have a social life, maintain sanity... I wish they would come out with another version soon!
