1 out of 5 stars A disappointment   June 18, 2008

It was a big flop as nothing resembled reality. Characters were wooden, fish unrealistic. A waste of money.

5 out of 5 stars A great ocean simulation for kids.   June 16, 2008

4 out of 5 stars Endless Ocean Review   June 12, 2008

I'm ten years old. I generally like the game endless ocean but there's a few problems I'd like to tell you about -
like you can only go a certain amount away from the ship. I would to be able to swim farther away from the ship than I can and the ship can only go in the bay, I would like to swim in the oceans too.
Also, the deep valley is okay but it gets very dark! and plays very scary music and I don't want to go down there.
In the Aquarium, you can only work on one tank, I wish you could work on all of the tanks.
Here's what I like about the game:
I like the exploring, and all the fish that I see. You get to take pictures of them for magazines and also you get to stock the aquarium.
Overall I'm glad I bought it.

Endless ocean is a great game for people who love aquatic life. it is very relaxing with the music. It is great for getting your mind of some stuff. I got it for my cousin who LOVES action and violence and it turned into his favorite game! It is also educational. You can take pictures, do missions, or just explore!

After all the rave reviews of this game I was somewhat disappointed with this due to one thing: actually getting in the water and swimming is gated by some annoying quest-like mechanics. One would expect to load up the game, go through a movement tutorial (this does happen) and then start swimming in various reefs from around the world. But no. There is a pointless choose hairstyle and skin tone step first. Then you have to walk around on a boat and talk to an NPC.

I bought this for my kids (6, 4, 3) thinking it would be a fun and educational experience and it is now, but whenever the game wants to advance the "story" I take over and get through it as fast as possible so the kids can get back to scuba diving.
