Great game for kids and adults! June 2, 2008 I asked for this for Mother's day and I love it. I used to SCUBA dive when I lived in the tropics, and this is the next best thing. Relaxing, educational, and fun. My 9-year-old daughter loves it too.
I like just exploring the reefs and other spots, while my daughter is more driven by completing missions and finding the "hidden pieces." And we're both learning more about the ocean and the critters in it, in a very fun way. You have GOT to see the goblin shark!!
Middle aged Mom likes to Snorkel... June 2, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have done some snorkling and am always fascinated by the beauty of the reefs and tropical fish...this game recreates that experience. This is meant to be a relaxing, tranquil encounter with a little education thown in (you get to identify and learn about the sea life). I imagine many adults and children would enjoy this game but if you are a young, testosterone driven serious gamer, this isn't for you.
Diving with Grandson June 1, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
My nine year old grandson and I have shared many hours "diving" together. As a certified PADI diver, I find it is as close to the real experience as you can get and stay dry. He drives the boat, trains the dolphins, checks the e-mail while I mostly paddle along collecting fish for the book and enjoying the scenery. Love it!
Relaxing and Even Educational June 1, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I love exploration games which is why I have found this particular one to be very fun. No time limits, no possibility of doing anything wrong, no pressure. Just swim around and discover what's out there in the vast ocean. The sealife in each area changes according to the time of day and the season so you can keep going back to the same areas to discover new things. The information about each creature is interesting too. I swim at the beach all the time and I never really knew just how many species there are out there. The music is pretty if a little repetitive but you can put your own music in if you want. The graphics underwater are very nice. Not so much on the boat but I didn't find myself caring so much about that. The little storyline is actually rather short but once it's finished there are still things to do and explore. I never want to meet up with a real colossal squid. Those things are creepy. But the idea that they do battle to the death with sperm whales is immensely amusing and awesome. All in all, a fun, calm game.

This game is very relaxing if you want a break from the norm of playing games. This is an educational and low key game. Not bad for me but for two kids 6 and 3 noway too young and there is alot of reading for them.
