With USB ports at a premium on the PS3, a charger for my controllers was a necessity after buying Rock Band. Nyko's charger was more than I had hoped for. My first impression was that it looks better than the photo would indicate. Sturdy construction, adapters that fit snug, the controllers rest easily in the base, and the red/green charge indicating lights all make this PS3 accessory a great deal for what I paid. No more "low battery" warnings in the middle of games forcing me to use the much too short USB cable that came with the PS3. I cannot attest to longevity since I just received it, but I would recommend this to anyone looking for a charger.
Great charging/storage solution April 3, 2008

With a two year old son in the house, I was constantly needing to stop him from ripping the PS3 out of the entertainment unit to play with the controller. With this charging/storage unit I can now remove the USB cable and hopefully prolong the life of my PS3. I set this up last night, plugged in my two controllers, and they were charged in less than two hours. They drop easily into the cradle, due to the plug you connect directly to the controller, and store away, charged and ready for use. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for an alternative for charging your controllers.

I got this charger to get rid of the multiple USB charging cables I had to attach to my PS3. It works fine and the minor attachment to the controller allows you to easily place the controller on the charging pad. The minor attachment looks very cool too. It is clear platic and does not hinder gameplay at all.
This device goes very well with my black and silver furniture. It has these green charging LEDs that create a trippy column of light to the ceiling in the dark. This has a kind of ultra modern funky look that I liked.
Bottomline: Cheap, Easy-to-use and cool looking. Get it.
It charges 2 controllers max at the same time. There is a minor attachment which comes with the charger that you need to connect to the controller for charging. Each pack contains 2 of these attachments, one for each controller.

Purchased due to second PS3 setup was in office/ game room and I didn't want wires hanging all over the front of the PS3. So for a cleaner application I purchased this and couldn't be more pleased. The LED's are a little on the brite side (will light up a dark room like a night light), but the attachment to keep from plugging in wires or having to line up the mini USB plug is great, I just drop one in and pull the other out for endless play time on COD4 & RFOM. Highly recommend this product. Build quality is nice, looks are nice, and it is AC no USB required.

Like we all know, the usb charge situation on the ps3 sucks....this is a very nice charger,it has adapters that fit on your controllers and just set into the charger..I know and have heard other chargers have an annoying consistency of trying to line up your usb ports..this does eliminate it!!!!
They also charge the dualshock ps3 controllers which are coming out on "tax day" in the U.S. on Apr. 15.
I usually do not review items but this is very good!!!I will say that this unit is a little ugly and looks outdated...There is a reason they skimped on the design,it works great!!!
I reccomend this charger highly!!!
