I have to say that i love this PS3.I was holding out until there were more games for it,but i just couldn't wait any longer.And just in time for the great games,too!!!So don't hesitate and get a ps3 right now!And as always,Amazon was great in the whole process....will deal with them again...thanks!

After using an Xbox 360 for the last year and trying my buddy's PS3 (which worked for a week) there was no comparision. The PS3 cannot, and testing proves cannot keep up to Xbox graphics engine. Plus the games for 360 blow PS3 out of the water. A blue ray disc player doesen't impress me enough to buy this either.

Overall I have been very pleased with the purchase of the PS3 system. It is a great way to get both a gaming console for the casual gamer like myself and blu-ray capability for about $100 less than a standalone player. The set up and configuration was a breeze connecting with HDMI (cable not included, but they can be had for a few bucks) and I was up and running after the system updates within 45 minutes. As mentioned the system does not play PS2 games, but after downloading a few demos from the playstation store you probably won't want to play the old games anyway.

As a former XBOX owner I have to say that the PS3 is very impressive. I love it. The Blu-ray player is great and even makes my regular DVD's look great. My kids love the games I was able to download off of the Playstation network.

Pros:
- Blu-Ray on the cheap (but this is a game machine folks)
- Free Online play (but matchmaking needs improvement)
- Cheaper
Cons:
- No Ps2 games will play on this (get the 60gb version)
- Less ports than the other version
- No good exclusive games yet except drakes and ratchet
- Motostorm is still $59 everywhere... huh???
