Great controller. April 18, 2008 This has all the same features as the normal sixaxis controller but it rumbles. This controller is slightly heavier but does not impose on game play. Just like the normal sixaxis this one is perfectly balanced to sit in your hand comfortably.
After an update to your system and games, this is an awesome controller that I would suggest all PS3 owners to get!
Just to let you know. April 17, 2008 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
I am a big fan of the ps3, but I still don't have one yet. Waiting for the MGS4 bundle. But anyways This controller does NOT come with the usb cable to charge your controller. Was disappointed about that. Like buying a phone wihtout a charger.
What can I say? April 16, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
There's so many reviews of this controler I'm not sure what else I can add here. This is the controler that all PS3 users shoulda had from the start(silly Sony...just pay up!) and I've really missed having rumble on my games both new and old. The rumble works great on games that are patched or designed with it in mind but don't expect every game you put in your PS3 to give you the fun force feedback. Users of this who impored from Japan(where this has been out for months!) reported as much before the USA launch but for examples: games like "Rachet and Clank Future" and "Warhawk" are rumble ready!
Compared with the orignal PS3 controler this one weigs abit more but it just makes it fell abit more study and less like a lightweight boomerang you can easy toss across the room like a feather!
Overall a great adition to the PS3...and one that the system shoulda had from the start(but you know how stuborn sony can be...)
Dual Shock, explain to me why... April 16, 2008 I understand this is a excellent controller, but why shock, why is it so important to some of you? The realism? I guess, I just don't understand why it's such a great thing. I've had it on some contoller before can't remember it was a while ago, it was more of an annoyance than anything. Am I missing the point? Thank you.
Reason I like the Dual Shock 3 April 16, 2008 8 out of 36 found this review helpful
The best thing about the Dual Shock 3 is that it has caused Amazon to lower the price of the Sixaxis. I have been waiting for this controller to come out so that Amazon and the rest would drop the price of the Sixaxis to a reasonable price. Thanks Sony!
I PERSONALLY all by myself abhor vibrating controllers. So when I found that the PS3 Sixaxis doesn't even have the feature I was very pleased. Even better, the Sixaxis is very lightweight because it doesn't have the motor and weights for the Rumble feature. Very good.
So all in all I am glad for the people who needed the Rumble feature. And if you really like paying US$15 more for the heavier controller, more power to you. I'm happy for my extra Sixaxis at an even lower price.
