Fantastic Musical Toy March 9, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is NOT a game! Just had to get that out of the way. Elektroplankton is a collection of musical toys. Some are stunning, amazing, and captivating while others did not suit my tastes well at all. Overall, the entire package is well worth it if you are into music, multimedia, and the fusion of art, music, and interactivity.
Great graphics... January 11, 2007 4 out of 10 found this review helpful
This is not really a game. You don't have a goal you're trying to achieving and you're definitely not tryng to break any records. You're supposed to groove to the music that you and the electroplanktons are making together. I bought this because I thought I could make interesting music with it while I'm away from my piano but...it's much more simplistic and in my opnion, it's for people who don't have any musical background at all. I found it un-fun and actually frustrating because it seems I'm just peicing pre-programmed sound bytes together and not really creating anything truly my own. Alas! Oh but the graphics ARE SUPER CUTE.
Intensely Satisfying to Play November 10, 2006 5 out of 7 found this review helpful
A truly wonderful interactive experience. Combines cute character animation with novel sound orchestration and design ideas. Very addictive and extremely well crafted. I keep it with me always just to help jostle my creative spark. Anyone who enjoys music or sea life will like this!
Music to my ears November 10, 2006 1 out of 4 found this review helpful
Very fun game, if you can call it that. Hours of entertainment, but can get a little boring if you play it for TOO long. Requires little skill, fun for anyone, just don't look for a point, there isn't one!
a peaceful game November 6, 2006 4 out of 6 found this review helpful
It's the kind of 'game' that you pick up when you're really bored, or just feeling the urge to be creative. However, the novelty wears off quickly, and the lack of ability to save your creations is a major drawback. It is pretty soothing, though.
