A kid reveiw. June 21, 2008 I bought this game because my cousin bought and it looked like a lot of fun!And it is!The game starts out easy but get harder as you go from level to level.Read the directions! It'll help a lot!!! This is really fun any one will love it!!!
A remarkable transfer to the portable DS June 12, 2008 Mario 64 may still be one of the greatest third-person adventures on any game system - more than a decade after it was released. That said, Super Mario 64 DS didn't disappoint me, an owner of the original game. It's amazing that all that technology, that was considered cutting-edge in 1996, can be crammed onto the hand-held DS. But it is, and even features several improvements, like being able to play as several different Mario characters with unique abilities. The levels have been redone to accommodate for those abilities, and several new levels have even been added.
The only gripe I have is that a game that was designed to be played with analog control doesn't always work so well with the DS's D-Pad. The control isn't always tight - and the DS version is noticeably not nearly as responsive as the original game. There are a few cheap deaths, especially for people over the age of 12 with adult-sized fingers. But, all in all, that can be overlooked as this is probably one of the best games currently available for the DS, particularly in the platforming genre.
Everything of the original plus more June 9, 2008 Not only was Super Mario 64 a lengthy game, but it offered lots of entertainment. I was glad to hear that the original was brought onto the Nintendo DS, just the direct port was good enough for me. But not only did they port it, but they added new stars, levels ( paintings ), and characters as well which seems to be a huge plus. Like I said, I would have been happy to just have the original game itself, but they added to it as well, and its even longer than it once was. Good deal.
Very disappointed May 27, 2008 0 out of 5 found this review helpful
My whole family loves Super Mario Bro. for the DS so we bought this. VERY disappointing. Nothing like super Mario very hard to play and figure out. Never play it waste of money
Amazing May 21, 2008 * Jump back to 199* and relive childhood. * Great control and graphics. * Extremely challenging and beyond any other Mario game. * Not for pre-schoolers for difficulty.
