Even if it was free I wouldn't want a copy of Ping Pals........ November 30, 2006 0 out of 7 found this review helpful
Unless it would go toward a bonfire. Seriously, this game is the worst game I have every played in my life, and when I think of a bad game, this one comes to mind. EGM actually gave it two 0.0 and a 1.5. Sad. But then again, I don't think that this game dosen't even deserve a rating, other than "steaming pile of a fat 80 year old middle school dropout's [deleted by amazon]". Thus, this game dosen't even deseerve to exist. Pictochat, which THQ ripped off, is better, and that's free. But maybe you want some more explaining. Here you go
Fun chatting through great-looking 16-bit character animations Everyone in Pin Pals is represented by an avatar you can dress up and customize Try to upgrade your avatar by earning cool points - collect, trade, chat and play minigames to win Supports the single cartridge multiplayer function -- 15 people can play through a single cartridge
The avator is so ugly, it is just pointless. And the single chat function is terrible. Why would you even consider talking to A.I. avators. There's also less functions in the game as well. Less characters, smaller keyboard, and only one pencil width. Pictochat has all this. Who wants to buy clothes for that tiny picture anyway? I will warn you, do not buy this game. IF you do, you are buying a product that falls in the same catergorie as kidz bop. Simplified and kiddy mess. kidz bop is a terrible music series, and to be honest, I don't like Pictochat. Unless you want to draw stupid pictures, than don't bother. Just don't get this. YOu will regret it. Unless your a moron and actually like this lame kiddy image, than save your money and buy Brain Age or Big Brain Academy instead. If you already have it........just save your money, period.
IF YOU BUY THIS, AND LIKE IT, YOU ARE AN IMBECILE
Only fun with others who own it November 9, 2006 I bought it and played it for a while, but the games get repedative. There are games you can send to another DS, but your friend will show up as a default generic character. Unless you know someone else with the game all the trading of outfits and items isn't even an option. It's really cheap most places, so if you buy it for yourself, buy a 2nd copy for a friend. I ended up selling it.
One of the first DS games, but still one of the best! March 10, 2006 4 out of 6 found this review helpful
Ping Pals was one of the first games out for the DS, but yet it still stands as one of the best titles the system has to offer. What you basically get is the cool Pictochat software, but SO MUCH BETTER! In Pictochat it just says your name before what you say, in Ping Pals you get to choose a cool avatar and dress it up and everything! Nintendo saw how cool this was and stole the idea for the Mii channel on the Wii. You can also choose cool fonts and colors for your writing and draw some pretty neato pictures! One time me and my friend got in a fight so I sent him a picture of an ugly funny face and wrote "YOU" with an arrow pointing to his face. It was hilarious! Bottom line, if you own a DS, you must own Ping Pals!
Good Game! March 4, 2006 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I've never played this game myself, but my friend loves it. She enjoyed all the mini games and chatting with people. I think she would give it 4 stars, though, because it isn't really a game, and there are funner games for the nintendo ds.
Yes or No December 3, 2005 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
this game is fun but threre is realy no point. All you realy do is talk with fake people and you can say yes or no. You can also get points to customize your screen and person. THQ put many chatrooms in but if there is no one is like the same room of course all you can do is say yes or no.
