Great game for ZX fans February 28, 2008 Although the game plays like the one before, it's a bit easier to use since now you can switch powers by toouch-screen and the map has been vastly improved. Very fun game to play witha great story.
Not for the casual gamer February 7, 2008 I gave this game a 2 star because of the difficulty of the game. I am not what you would call a really casual gamer, I would be closer to the hardcore, but this game has me baffled. I cannot defeat the first psuedoroid on normal difficulty and the beginner mode seemed far to simple for the first boss you come across but then difficulty jumps up significantly from there. I am honestly very frustrated with this game. Everything about the game just screams 'AWESOME' and the voice overs and soundtrack are great for a handheld game. Running through the first levels was so much fun I am just upset that I cant get to the next levels. Maybe I will have to find a cheat code so I cant die :(
From what I have read the Mega Man series has been going on for a long while with out me and this difficulty level is normal for it. I bought this with old memories of my giant gray gameboy and the Mega Man game I had for it. I loved that this was a platformer just like the old one but i dont remember ever having this much difficulty with the old game, or any game for that matter.
If you are not familiar with the Mega Man series and its difficulty then I would seriously suggest staying away from this game so you dont feel like throughing your DS through a wall.
Maga Man ZX Advent January 18, 2008 this game is batter than the first one. still have some faults but never the less a fun game for all.
A pretty decent platformer. December 3, 2007 I enjoyed Mega Man ZX a while ago, so when I heard Mega Man ZX Advent was coming out, I decided I should order it. So I did. After playing and beating it, this is what I thought.
Gameplay: 85% Similar to traditional Mega Man gameplay, you'll find yourself blasting through enemies with a variety of different powers. A few of these are pretty fun to use, but some are way too awkward to seriously use. A plus is that the controls are completely customizable, so you can find a setup that feels right.
Graphics: 94% This game has very nice 2D graphics. There's a ton of detail put into each character, item, and background. The game looks great in motion.
Sound: 60% 60%? Ouch. Well, the one reason it's so low is because of the atrocious voice acting. A few voices are done well, but the majority just flat-out sucks.
Overall: 87% This is a pretty nice DS game, and I would recommend it to anyone who loves Mega Man. Mega Man ZX: Advent isn't an easy game. It's not as hard as Contra, but it'll definitely give you a challenge.
Must have for Mega Man fans November 20, 2007 This is by far the best Mega Man game I've ever played. Not too crazy about the voice acting, but it doesn't matter because i find this game a real treat and it is filled with great fighting techinques. try it, you'll be glad you did.
