4 out of 5 stars Easy but pleasing   June 20, 2008

I purchased this thinking it would probably either be not challenging enough or would be frustrating -- i.e. puzzles too hard to be fun or that would be timed so that I'd have to keep trying the same puzzle over & over again until I beat a time-clock.

While there is an optional time-challenge mode, this is actually a nice litle leisurely puzzle game. I'm a 40-something who is used to 'doing' something on the evenings my spouse & I watch TV -- I'm usually paying bills or catching up on family emails or whatever -- and this little game gives me something to do with my brain when I don't have other pressing things to handle during TV-time.

I'm about half-way thru Level 2, and it's still pretty easy, but occasionally you do get a head-scratcher and have been pleasantly surprised at how this game makes you approach a problem in different ways.

Knowing about it as I now do, I would definitely have still made the purchase.

5 out of 5 stars I hate this game and also LOVE it!!!!   June 9, 2008
I like to think of myself as intelligent and logical. When I saw this game, I thought it would be a "piece of cake", but somewhat challenging. Well, I was so frustrated in the beginning that I wanted to throw this game away!! With perseverance, I stuck with it and actually solved some puzzles. As I went on, I thought that I had it all figured out. Along came the next set of puzzles. Don't think this game is easy but also, tell yourself you can do it. Keep trying and suddenly when you think all is lost, you'll rotate a piece or flip it, and, wow...the puzzle is solved! One night I went to bed and thought I would play awhile and when I decided to finally fall asleep I realized the sun was coming up!

5 out of 5 stars More fun than Tangoes! ( or the manual version )   May 16, 2008
I have the manual version, the one with real pieces and cards that I do it with my fingers. It is hard! My sons, 8 and 10 had a hard time and complained about it.

When I saw that they made it into a DS version. I thought to myself, no way, that'll be even harder and brushed it off. Few months later, after reading some reviews, I decided to get it.

As it turned out, it is easier than my manual version. You use your stylus to move the pieces around. At first it was bit tricky trying to navigate the pieces in place. My son, 8, LOVES it. He is not frustrated with it. In fact we played against each other who would get the pieces together first. He wins 95 percent of the time!!

The graphics are ok. The colors could be better but I guess that's the way this game is. Just two colored tones. You can choose your color shades for the pieces. There are many many many pictures offered.

Great game for all ages! Adults can play against children and have fun. I'm glad I got it after all.

4 out of 5 stars Good Puzzle Game   March 17, 2008

Neves is worth buying if you enjoy puzzle games. You use the same basic shapes in order to create 500 different figures. You start off with an outline and it is up to you to fit the shapes in in order to completely fill the given outline. Some are easier than others. While others have been pretty challenging to complete. Simple interface to use. The only negative is the theme music which I'm sure you'll mute after a while. Worth the money. I've enjoyed it.

5 out of 5 stars Neves is like Tangoes and is highly addicting!   March 15, 2008

I took this game on a trip to Mexico, it sure helped out with making traveling time go buy quicker. Only problem was I had to share it with my husband and when I fell asleep he couldn't put it down and cleared a whole level without me. But, it wasn't so bad cause you can always go back and play them again. If you like puzzle games and have some patience because some of the puzzles are difficult this is the game for you. It is just like the game Tangoes if you know what game that is. You have 7 tiles of the same shapes that form hundreds of pictures. The game provides the silhoutte and you have to place the tiles correctly to make the picture. You could play this over and over again because there are so many puzzles that by the time you did one over you wouldn't remember how to solve it unless of course you have a photographic memory. Sometimes I got a little frustrated and found myself saying I hate this game. But, it was inevitable I kept playing it anyway and have to give it a 5 for it's addictiveness, help with passing time, and keeping my husband busy while I rested!
