I love this system! September 9, 2008 I bought this system with the Guitar Hero: On Tour promotion and I absolutely love it! The screen is nice and bright, everything works really well, I can play my favorite GBA games, its features make it fun to play ... what's not to like?! This is hands down the best handheld system out there right now. If you are thinking about buying it, definately do! It will be worth your money.
Fun family times September 8, 2008 My children each have this system plus we bought one for our 7 year old cousin in adorable pink. She loves it! My kids play with their cousin and have a ball. This is a great system. I also have one and play with my adult sister-in-law!!! We bring it on vacations and in the car for family fun!!!!
Shine On You Crazy DS Lite September 7, 2008 8 out of 10 found this review helpful
Ever since Nintendo came out with the Nintendo DS back in 2004, they really not only changed the way we play video games, but also redefined what the way they appeal to consumers, and not just men, but also women and seniors. A couple of years later, they re-issued the DS as the Nintendo DS Lite, which proved to sell even stronger than before, and that is still proof of the pudding. Even with Sony's PSP and Playstation 3 and Microsoft with the Xbox 360, the sales have gotten even stronger. They've made all different styles and colors to compliment the DS Lite for any gamer young and old, and now Nintendo is set to unveil there latest DS Lite, with a polish that is stearling.
The new Nintendo DS Lite in a gleaming Metallic Silver, brings in the sleak and designer finish to the classic handheld that Nintendo has delivered for the past several years, to appeal to gamers young and old. The system comes with all the standards you'd expect from Nintendo to shine, including a strong battery life which can last for nearly 19 hours, a stylus pen that is shown in a sleak and stylish silver look, and the ability to play all your favorite Nintendo DS titles from the original DS era, and now. You can play classics like New Super Mario Brothers, Brain Age and Big Brain Academy, as well as recent favorites like Crosswords DS and Guitar Hero: On Tour. Not only that, if you have a Game Boy Advance, and you're considering to throw it away, the DS Lite can play those classic titles like Donkey Kong Country and Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Brothers 3. You also can play against other gamers by battling with them at home, on the go, or through Nintendo's Wi-Fi connection by using a wireless router. With that, you can play games like Mario Kart DS, and Clubhouse Games, against anyone all around the world.
All in all, while many gamers might be interested in the more addictive game systems like the Playstation 3, or the Xbox 360, which its arcade edition just dropped to nearly $200, or if you are still having a hard time trying to find the Nintendo Wii, the Nintendo DS Lite: Metallic Silver is a great video game system to buy for your buck.

If you're over 28, this one is your choice September 7, 2008 I just can't say enougth good things about this little device, I did buy mine I few weeks ago because a Wanted a portable guitar hero, so I went to store and got the bundle pack, well i almost don't play guitar hero Anymore but, Can't stop playin the New Mario, Mario Kart, Star fox and Call of Duty, gameplay is just amazing, the touchscreen is great (its not an Iphone but comes close in response...), games are so aforable and the tittle list is endless, I did grow up with nintendo, love it i rather have fun with simplest graphic than spend hours figuring out how to make a caracter moove fowar
Get it now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (By the way I'm not a kid) September 6, 2008 The ds lite is a big improvement from the old ds. The screens are very bright, even brighter than the the psp's screen. The ds plays GBA games too. When you play racing games like mario kart, you can see a top view of the track on the bottom screen, it also has stereo sound. You can also surf the internet if you get a browser(you can buy one from amazon). Now the built in features are a clock, alarm clock, a calender, ds download play(which alows you to download ds games or movies and even games that aren't out yet at a hotspot like wal-mart and gamestop), and race your friends or even download a demo of your friend's game on to your ds! Another built in feature is picto-chat. Picto-chat allows you to chat with your friends up to 75ft. away(my friend and I did 200ft. away). The last thing is the settings. You can set which screen you want to play your GBA games on, set which color you want, and you can put in your name too. There's also a great Wi-Fi feature that on some games allows you to play with people across the world! The ds lite is a great choice for a game system.
