The best game after No Mercy and HCTP December 5, 2006 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've seen a lot of people saying this game sux, but i think this game is a very good one. I have played nearly every game that THQ made for WWE, and i think this one is the third best. Let me give you the pros and cons (in my view):
Pros: -Excellent gameplay (at the beginning it's hard to learn, but later you get used to it) -New move system, such as stealing taunt, possum pins, sleeper submission systems, super dirty moves and more. -Very good roster (the majority of the people make sense to the game) -Improved CAW (more realistic features that make your wrestler look like if THQ made it) -Create and Entrance -Championship matches in Exhibition mode -General mamager mode (it's better than season)
Cons: -Season mode (it hasn't improved much, but still very entertaining) -Commentary (the announcers miss a lot of essentla moves such as suplexes, --breakers, etc.) -Less backstages areas (only parking, bar, and backstage) -Entrances in high risk specialty matches ( you don't see the entrances i matches such as Cage, HIAC, Elimination Chamber and Buried Alive) -Challenge mode (the easy and normal are harder than hard and legend, and takes like forever to get the first two done) -Less CAW spots (only 30, i was expecting like40)
This game is very good, but not as good as No Mercy and HCTP. It's worth the money.
could be a lot better November 16, 2006 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
this game is very overrated. the online gaming is horrible. people cheat so easily online. the season mode is pretty bad. i wish you could have multiplayer season and multiple seasons like in the old smackdowns on ps1.
I don't like it November 8, 2006 1 out of 6 found this review helpful
It's no secret that I'm no fan of new WWE wrestling games. I hate the fact that every new game only brings a couple new options. Meanwhile, the rest of the game is EXACTLY the same as last years WWE game. It's just a rip-off marketing strategy, in my opinion.
At least this game has some wonderful graphics to make up for the lack of interesting new features. But the thing is, you don't need this game. Not just because there's already a million WWE games on the market that are all designed only to impress graphically-obsessed video game fans, but also because...
The Playstation 3 happens to be responsible for the next generation of WWE games, and these games happen to have the best graphics to date. So, if you like graphics (and I know you do) just wait for the Playstation 3 wrestling games. Then after you purchase them, you won't care about Smackdown vs. Raw 2006 anymore *rolls eyes*.
