5 out of 5 stars Super Smashing Fun   July 31, 2008

I bought this game after having played its Game Cube version. My high expectation has been met above and beyond. It's great fun - especially the Subspace Emissary that I play with my 7-yr-old daughter because we get to team up as different characters to beat up the bad guys within a storyline format. One place though that I had mistakenly thought had a "glitch" in the Adventure Mode was where Fox and Diddy Kong team up: they fall into a black hole that they can't seem to get out of. We found out after several frustrating minutes that Fox can use his fire weapon to smash through the blackness. (When you get into this hole, you'll know what I mean.) Overall, this game is worth every penny!

5 out of 5 stars This game is AWSOME!   July 30, 2008
I love this game! The graphics are a AAAA+! The chars are an AAAA+! pros and cons...

Pros:
1. Play as almost any characture in the nintendo universe (including sonic. HE ROCKS!)
2. The graphics are SUPER GOOD!
3. Games that i played (like The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. at the part where Link pulled the sword outa the stone...) are pretty close the story at some parts
4. you can take it online (a feature waiting to be used by us:) )
5. Training mode allows you to get used to all of the charactures and see there final smash!
6. Multiplayer at the house is SO AWSOME!
7. Story mode is very fun, but a little hard. great vids in it though...

cons:

1. Rated T. Needs a E-10+.
2. It has Poke'mon? We cant play any of those chars.
3. You should NEVER have a gamecube controller connected when you play this game. it will go nuts trying to see what is going on.
4. Some of the people have AWFUL ATTACKS! Like, wario farts for his final smash.
5. It is very hard to inhale someone with Kirby.

So i give this game 5 stars!

4 out of 5 stars Super Smash Brothers family review   July 30, 2008
This is a pretty good family game, my 8 year old daughter loves it and even my 5 year old can play it. It is fun to get a bunch of good characters together in one game and the graphics are great. I have not tried it out fully by playing online, but all the single player modes and the epic battle mode is great. Its definately a fun game to play and people of all ages can enjoy it due to the varying characters in it and shared game play.

5 out of 5 stars Great addition to the series   July 30, 2008

I've owned Smash Bros. Melee for Gamecube for sometime and was really looking forward the sequel. Being able to use the Gamecube controller with all the original mappings is great and makes the transition to the Wii version so much smoother. Gameplay is just as good, if not better than Melee.

As for characters, there's a lot of returning ones which all have their memorable moves, some of which have been slightly modified probably mostly for balancing of characters. However, there's just as many new ones, almost twice as many characters are in Brawl total than were available in Melee. There's also a ton of variety in the characters you can choose from, which makes playing the game all the more fun since different characters have different strengths and weaknesses.

There's also a lot of new levels as well as the return of some of the Melee levels. Also, there's the ability to create your own levels, which I haven't taken advantage of yet, but seems like a great feature.

The Single Player mode, Subspace Emmisary is amazing. Definitely challenging at times and a lot of fun. You can even play this mode with two players which makes it all the more enjoyable.

In short, it's very similar to Melee and if you like that one, you'll love this one. Better graphics, more players, better single player, just all around a better game. Simple, yet tons of fun.
