The Best Wheel, Period. very minor flaw October 19, 2008 I bought this wheel with great skepticism because I tried the Logitech DFGT wheel and hated it a lot. I returned the DFGT to Best Buy within two days of purchase. I had some money laying around and thought that I should try the G25 and if I didn't like it, I could sell it on Ebay for what I got it for so no money would be lost.
I have to say that I love this wheel. It's leaps ahead of the DFGT and feels much better to drive without much sudden movements. This is my only complain about this wheel. When you are taking a turn, the wheel resists you which is what it's suppose to do, but when it comes back to normal position after the turn, it nudges your hand to the opposite direction which results in your car fish-tailing unnecessarily. It's not as bad as the DFGT though and it's very easy to get used to so that it doesn't happen as often (shifting up right after coming out of the turn makes it less noticiable, plus you could just hold the steering). this is why I gave it 4 stars and not 5. On the positive side, this wheel feels great and provides awesome feedback. I absolutely love it. GT5P has full support for it (in the beginning of the race press triangle to turn on the clutch). I've been an avid GT fan since the first GT on the PS. I have to say that my lap times with the wheel are not better than my controller times which is expected I think, but I have much more control and much more consistency with the wheel plus a lot more fun when you have the clutch and the whole set up of a car.
Bottom line is that if you have money for it, don't even hesitate.....BUY IT!!
awesome October 13, 2008 my first wheel was, till now, my favorite wheel. it was a microsoft wingman. then i bought a black momo when the dog ate the cords through a now, non-produced wingman. black momo is definately a solid wheel, it just took me some adjustment. however, the g25 puts all others to rest. the pedals are awesome, although it took me sometime to get used to the stiffness of the brake. the gas is dead on as is the clutch. the wheel is bigger than the other two wheels i've had. all wrapped in leather. the buttons on the gearshift are exactly what you need and the shifter itself is awesome. the adjustments to the wheel through the profiler are as standard as the momo from what i find. but you can definately get it the way you want it. BUY THIS WHEEL if your a sim racer.
Whole New Racing Experience September 29, 2008 I have played racing games for years using the Logitech Cordless Rumble Pad 2. While that is a great gaming controller, this steering wheel is what I have really been needing. The wheel makes the experience feel very realistic. I've been using the wheel to play Need for Speed: Pro Street and the wheel provides accuracy and feel for how the car is reacting to the road. Example: I can feel in the steering wheel when I am corning so sharp that I am losing traction on the inside wheels.
I was worried that paying so much for a steering wheel would not be worth it to me. In hind site I am very happy that I purchased the Logitech G25 and I recommend it without reservation.
CLUTCH! METAL! LEATHER! August 21, 2008 Ok sim racing fans, this has got to be the best main-stream available wheel. I have had nothing but enjoyment in using it. The only hassle is set-up and tear-down: wires galore (it sure would be nice to have a dedicated sim racing station). It would be awesome if they were able to implement wireless communication between the components...
Pleasantly surprised August 17, 2008 I bought this wheel without seeing it in person, and wasn't 100% sure what it would be like. It turns out to have a very solid look and feel and seems more or less like driving a real car. I can't compare it to other wheels, but I can say that this wheel gets the job done and makes driving games both more fun and easier to win.
