I dream of Jordan August 31, 2007 This game is hella fun. I like it a lot better than the first one. With the first game they had to get "The Classics" like Iron Man and Smoke on the water in there... here the song selection is quite varied and a blast to play. With a few yawn-ers in the first couple tiers the songs are challenging and fun for the fingers to play. In the original I found some of the last songs annoying to play, but with G2, the hard songs make me want to try again, rather than give up. Although I cannot for the life of me get 5 stars on "Carry Me Home" Waz up with that? Anyway, yes this game is awesome, yes it's addicting, yes you'll wonder where the day went when you look at the clock and see how late it is, but you just gotta play "institutionalized" one more time.
PS: You'll def. want to buy an extra guitar, but trust me, spend the extra cash and get the official red Octane one. There IS a difference!
MUST HAVE! August 21, 2007 This game is SO much fun! First played it on XBOX 360 then got it on PS2. Everything about it is amazing. Only suggestion is to have more well known songs, but I think that is happening with Guitar Hero III coming out in a couple months.
awesome August 7, 2007 This game is a interactive fun game for all ages. This game you can not stop playing it once you start.Sometimes it gets boring but it's mostly fun.
Great Sequel To GH I August 2, 2007 Well if you played the first one, then you know what to expect.
4 difficulty levels Career Mode
Wait is that it?
Well no. Now there is Co-op mode.
In this fun mode, you and your buddy can choose who plays lead and who plays rhythm. There is a catch though. Both need to play good, otherwise you fail. When one goes down so does the other.
That's not all though.
There is a free play mode where you can play a bass line. Pretty cool, right?
Oh yeah. You get to play the neverending Free Bird as well. And on expert, you could be there a while.
Overall I was quite impressed on the additions to a game that I thought was dead. Great job Red Octane.
Awesome but maybe not for little kids July 29, 2007 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
I'm 11 years old and my parents bought this for me. I think that this game is the best game you could buy,but I think that it should also include a better mix of music for all ages. I was a little shocked hearing some profanity in some of the songs. I would like to see this game with some christian music. But over all I could play this game all day.
