This game is by far the funnest shooting game I have played on the PS3 system. The very first missions drop you right in the action and it never ends!
The graphics for this game is spectacular, whether your in jungle terrain or in an enemy city, the details of each building, vehicles driving by, and enemy's trying to attack you, I am impressed by how it looks.
The sound is great on my surround. I am currently running a 6.1 Harmon Kardon and when grenades go off, or bullets are flying by me, it delivers itself well.
For all you FPS fans, this is definitely a MUST buy for the PS3. I cannot say that there aren't other games, but for your first time around, and also as a challenge once you do beat the game. This game offers features that have a solid replay value with its Arcade mode and online gameplay.
How to turn off the voices. May 28, 2008

Just a post script on my last review, you CAN turn off the chat voices. During the match hit 'select' then move the cursor over the little punk who's voice is annoying you and hit 'X', their voice icon should change to black, and presto, no more swearing, bragging, etc. You can do this to multiple players at once, it helps when playing with some of the 10 year old mamma's boys that jabber constantly.

This is not the best game of the year its the best game of the centry. To bad its not just for the PS3 though but oh well at least we have Metal gear solid 4 take that X box.

OMG. The weapons, the graphics, the voice acting, the story, the gameplay. This game is nothing short of astounding. It takes a lot for me to say a perfect 10 about anything, but for what COD4 sets out to be, it succeeds on every level. Amazing!! Play this game, then play it again.

OK, just believe the hype. If you enjoy shooters at all, you have to play this game. Graphics and effects are top notch. The story mode is short but fantastic, and multiplayer is fast a fun. Buy it.
