3 out of 5 stars Civilization Revolution, Good Game   September 19, 2008
This game is good but i've expected something like Blizzard's Games, anyway is a very good game

4 out of 5 stars Buggy but still great.   September 19, 2008
Yes this game does have some bugs. Yes online multiplayer does not really work yet but it's still a great game. I say it's a great game because it's completely different than anything else on the PS3. If you like strategy games you will like this game. It's like a chess match with civilizations. The game is streamlined from it's PC ancestors which makes it possible to finish a game in 3 hours.

It also has great replay value. I love playing it over and over again with different civilization and trying out different openings. You can try to be aggressive and dominate. You can try to win peaceful. Yes, it is essentially the same game over and over again but it's like chess. The game is simple but you can spend a lifetime trying to master it.

2 out of 5 stars Doesn't seem quite finished   September 18, 2008
There's so much in this game that seems not quite complete. Some civilizations get special units that seem to look and behave no different than the equivalents. Sometimes the audio just plays super loud. When foreign rulers pop up onto the screen they get very laggy while loading off the disc.

Overall, the game can be enjoyable, but as a long-time Civ fan, it's not got the polish I expect.

5 out of 5 stars Be warned: this game will make you lose track of time!!!   September 13, 2008

Do not start this game if you have plans or have a tight schedule. First day I got it, my wife left the house around 2 p.m. and I thought "I'll play for a couple of minutes..."
Next thing I know my wife comes back, it's already dark outside and I'm still on the same exact position, wearing the same underwear and dying to go pee... More than five hours had gone by!!!
The game is very cool and highly addictive. Enjoy!

4 out of 5 stars Close to perfect   September 9, 2008

We've seen how Sid Meier has said this is the Civ he's always wanted to make. That's really too bad to consider. As much fun as I find this game to be, I also find it very limiting. Here's to hoping 2k listens to gamers complaints and offers a online patch that lets us create larger worlds and customize opponents. The thing I miss the most from prior iterations of Civ in THIS version is being able to customize the game. I find it far more fun and personally rewarding to have LESS contact between civilizations as they grow, since all too often the AI wants to distract me into fighting.
