2 out of 5 stars Avoid unless you are crazy about the band   July 2, 2008

The first 2 GH games were great - but this continues the downward trend. None of the games since the 8os version have been so much fun as the originals. The song selection to a casual fan is poor - obscure to me old or brand new Aerosmith songs. Buy the GH1/2 double pack or Rock Band instead

4 out of 5 stars Excellent game!   July 1, 2008

A great way for the younger generation to learn about and appreciate Aerosmith. The video clips in between levels are a nice touch and a little something different from GH3. Nice graphics.

I also like the idea that the lyrics of the songs with suggestive lyrics are somewhat muted and more in the background, rather than loud and in your face, so that the entire family can play and enjoy the game. Not sure if this is an intentional feature, but it's much appreciated by moms like me.

If you are a GH3 fan, then you will love this version.

3 out of 5 stars Love Areosmith, don't like this game   July 1, 2008

I don't like more than half the songs on this game. The guitar hero people should have waited for their drum set edition and maybe this game would be more fun. Areosmith is great and I love the band, that's why I got the game, but the other songs suck. The graphics are horrible and stiff.

5 out of 5 stars Aerosmith style   July 1, 2008

This game rocks! Luckily, it is mostly bare of power ballads like Cryin', Amazing, and I Don't Want to Miss a Thing!!! They finally got it right, Aerosmith is dirty bluesy rock and roll. Everything from their 70's heydey is in here, such as Movin' Out, Nobody's Fault, Kings & Queens, the heavy Draw the Line...and even the solo in Love in an Elevator is innovative. Get this game now! If you don't like the fact that Aerosmith is off the charts, don't complain, keep it to yourself. They are, hands down, America's greatest hard rock act!

3 out of 5 stars You Don't Like Aerosmith, You Won't Like This   July 1, 2008

Same game play as GH3; nothing new here. If you don't like Aerosmith, and mostly old Aerosmith - you won't find anything new here. Of the songs the average fan under 40 will know Love in an Elevator, Walk This Way, Sweet Emotion, and Dream On are about it. Everything else is 70's era songs from the band. More guitar friendly, but not fun. Songs like Cryin' would have fit the game too. Even the 'opening band' songs aren't the most well know. From the Cult, it isn't "Fire." Also note, some of the songs by other band's aren't originally versions (Black Crowes is one).
