| Customer Reviews:
Great Controller!! October 19, 2008 If it ain't broke, don't fix it. That philosophy might not work on everything, but it definitely worked for the playstation's controller. I'm so glad Sony stuck with their previous design for their ps3 controllers, and the Dualshock 3 is absolutely wonderful.
The controller's design is more of a personal preference for individuals and personally, I like it. I've been playing the ps1 and ps2 for quite sometime now and so I've gotten very used to the controller's shape and feel.
The build quality is excellent. The controller felt solid and I like the extra weight it has in regards to the original sixaxis. The triggers feel pretty good as well.
The rumble feels good. Some people say it's not as strong as the ps2's controllers and I think I did notice a difference, but it still provides a satisfying shake when needed.
Battery Life: I didnt notice any significant change in battery life in the DS3 as opposed to the Sixaxis even though it has the rumble feature but then again, sometimes I just leave it attached to the cord.
Great control October 18, 2008 A very good controller, especially when you play MGS4, you can feel all emotions that the game generate.
Rumble all the way October 13, 2008 I only own dualshock controllers, so I cannot compare it to the sixaxis shockless controller. Works with PS3 and PS2 games. The design of the L2 and R2 buttons took some getting use with switching from the PS2 controller.
I tried to use the sixaxis for MotorStorm and had to turn it off. Is hard to keep the controller flat when laying in bed (the main way I play). It does add more "realism" to the game when you are able to actually use it.
Wireless is the only way to go.
Dual Shock 3 October 11, 2008 They should have shipped all PS3 with these from the start. Controller is noticeably heavier than the Six Axis, but it still feels good.
the rumble doesn't work with call of duty 4 game October 6, 2008 this control doesn't work for some games, only the ones that support rumble. so far doesn't work for call of duty 4 and motor storm. it works for assassin's creed. those are the only games that i have.
