4 out of 5 stars Great if you don't own a Guitar Hero 3 PS3 controller for Rock Band...   September 23, 2008
Just recently, within the last two weeks, Harmonix finally released a real patch for Rock Band on PS3 so you can use the Guitar Hero 3 PS3 guitar on Rock Band, which eliminated my need for this device. I still have my GH2 guitar with this as a backup / bass guitar, but I just figured I'd tell everyone this information.

This device still works as advertised, except it's really difficult to get star power to work unless you aren't pressing any buttons on it at the time you tilt.

3 out of 5 stars Doesn't Work with Mad Catz 2 Driving Wheel   September 10, 2008

I don't want to knock the product as I don't think it was made to be used with driving wheels. That being said, it doesn't work with th eMAd Catz 2 dirving wheel with the PS2, PC, and Xbox connectors. At least it doesn't work on PS2 to PS3. I can program the wheel so that the gas and brakes work but I can't get the wheel to turn the cars at all.

1 out of 5 stars Misleading product description   September 8, 2008

I bought this item so that I could use my old wired PS2 guitar on my PS3 with Guitar Hero 1 and 2, and it is NOT compatible. The wording on this product's description is very misleading. The item even comes with a tiny slip of paper stating it will not work in the capacity.

4 out of 5 stars Almost Perfect   August 26, 2008
The device does exactly what it says and does it well but buyer beware if you are planning on using a controller other than the official PS2 controller. I tried using the adaptor with my wireless PS2 Logitech controllers and had no luck. Other than that they work great.

3 out of 5 stars Does NOT work with PS2 Games on a PS3   August 19, 2008

This TAC adapter will allow you to use a ps2 guitar controller to play guitar games made for PS3. If you have a 60 or 80 gig PS3 that can play old ps2 games, then beware that this adapter will NOT let you play GH 1, GH 2, and GH 80s on your PS3. TAC states this on the back of the package, but it is not readable in the images on Amazon. If you have a guitar made for ps2 you can buy the GH3 for PS3 game disc and use this adapter to make your guitar controller work. That way you can avoid buying the entire GH3 package that includes the game + USB wireless guitar that is more expensive than just the game disc by itself. It was not designed to be used to play old ps2 games on your PS3 and can not be used in that manner. I give it only 3 stars because it does allow a ps2 guitar to work on my PS3, but the reason I bought it was to play old GH games on the PS3 and it won't work, and was not mentioned in the product description at the time I bought it. I will hang on to it in case it may come in handy if a friend is over and we need to use it for a second guitar, but other than that this thing is useless to me and was a waste of $20.
