You get what you pay for... October 27, 2008 Bought the Frontman wireless guitar to add to the Rock Band guitar. The Frontman guitar looks and feels cheap as compared to the Rock Band guitar, but the price was right. Neither overly impressed nor disappointed.
Worth it October 22, 2008 When I bought my PS3 I was discouraged that I would have to buy yet another guitar to transition over from my PS2. Owning RB and GH has made my house cluttered with guitars, mics and drums. Knowing that I wanted to buy both RB and GH for the PS2, I couldn't bring myself to purchase two more guitars. Thank God for Frontman! It worked on both systems and now I can say that it does work with RB2 too.
One thing that I would like to comment about is when you first connect the guitar to the console. It does take longer than I believe it should. It seems to search for a signal for a while. I know that it made me pretty nervous when I first started to use the guitar. After reading the reviews on how it didn't work for some people, I thought that I was going to have to return it. But patience won out in the end. I think that it probably takes about 1 min for the guitar to partner up with the console. It's long and kind of takes the fun out of things when you have people over ready to play. But it works and I don't have to store yet another guitar to play both games.
Now, if only they would come out with a drum kit that worked for both GH and RB.
Recommended October 19, 2008 Guitar works awesome. I like it better than the guitar that came with the game system.
Not worth the money September 22, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I read the prior reviews and decided to order the frontman guitar instead of the traditional rock band guitar because I thought I would eventually buy guitar hero as well as rock band. However, this guitar is much worse than the rock band guitar. I didn't have a problem linking it to my PS3 as many people had indicated but have several complaints. First of all, in order to get the guitar to recognize overdrive, you have to raise the guitar at least 5-10 times before it recognizes that you have lifted it. Secondly the fret buttons are so tiny, it's almost impossible to play at the same level that you play using the rock band guitars. The only redeeming quality it has is the fact that the strum bar is tighter and clicks like the guitar hero guitars. I recommend spending more money and avoiding this guitar, you're better off getting a rock band guitar and a guitar hero guitar.
Didn't work September 1, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I was not able to get the foot peddle and guitar to sync. So this was of no use. I sent it back for a new one and have not received it yet. Maybe I will have better luck with the second one.
