If you like to play the story modes on FP shooters this game will do ok, it has great graphics and the overall experience is pretty decent.
BUT, is you like to play online forget about it.
The makers of the game apparently did not invest $$$ on good servers and you have to "wait" actually up to an hour to get into action.
The online experience is pretty frustrating no matter how fast is your connection.
A game that you CANT play it when you WANT to play it is pretty worthless in my book.

ok so i bought the game of the year edition thinking i could save some cash because its "supossed" to come with the variety map pack and it didn't even come with anything no little paper with code on it or whatever just the booklet game disk and case and it was factory sealed!!!ita BS just buy the regular game and save yourself a big headache
A little bit disapointed August 29, 2008
COD4 is a great shooter game but I was expecting much more after reading all the reviews from many experts and even for this game been chosen the game of the year 2007. Resistance is still my first shooter game for PS3, maybe because I prefer to play offline, by the way COD4 is one of the best games to play online..

This game is a true masterpiece that will bring you back again and again. The campaign is short, but is interesting and fun 100% of the time. The multiplayer though is what makes this game amazing. It has an enormous community, with dedicated fans. If your reading this, and have never played call of duty 4 before, then beware! When you try and play online, you will be slaughtered because many people have been playing this game religiously for a year, and have honed their skills down the point where you would last 10 seconds in a match before being killed. If your buying it for the campaign, then i say buy it now! this game is truly a piece of video game history. it is a must buy.
Excellent Game August 25, 2008
This video is excellent, what mas I am overawed is that when it goes off we realize movements very similar to those that we realize in the reality.
