5 out of 5 stars Loads of fun!   October 5, 2006

I've had this game for a few years now, but I love the fact that Legends like LOD, Sgt. Slaughter, and so forth can be played in season mode unlike a lot of the other WWE Games. The other's here complaining that their created superstars are being obliterated by Sable are pathetic. Everytime I play season mode with one of my created superstars, I hardly ever loose, and almost all of the championships are currently held by MY created superstars. If you like playing WWE Games, and are good at it, I reccomend purchasing this game.

Thanks for your time.

4 out of 5 stars Like WWE? Get this game.   June 29, 2006

It doesn't have Hulk Hogan, but it more than makes up for that. Austin, Rock, Goldberg, HHH, Nash, Undertaker, tons of secrets, lots of modes (tons), championships, a fun season mode, titles to challenge for.. I had a blast with this game. Even after playing Smackdown/Raw 2006. Oh, yeah.. I said it.

I'm not gonna write the same stuff as everyone else...yes this game is fun. The story mode is great, though what the wrestlers/commentators "say" is corny. The vareity of matches is fantastic. But i've been noticing this game tends to freeze when too much is going on in the ring,and/or if there are two or more created wrestlers involved. It doesn't seem to like more than one created wrestler for some reason,so keep that in mind. This is not constant...it's occasional. The newer Smackdown games may have fixed this issue,i have no idea, but it is a frustrating problem on this game.

I really like this game because of the cool graphics and correct grapple moves and signiture moves. The people look real compared to other games

4 out of 5 stars ALRIGHT WRESTLING GAME.   February 7, 2006

WWE SmackDown! 5:Here Comes The Pain is excellent wrestlin game,Better than WWE SmackDown! vs RAW even, maybe not 2006 but better than the original one.Its the last game in the highly successful "SmackDown!" series which debuted on the old PlayStation with "WWF SmackDown!" which was a success, than succeeded by its sequal "WWF SmackDown! 2:Know Your Role!",i guess "WWF SmackDown! 3:Just Bring It!" sucked a little bit,the worst one,But THQ re-gathered its fame with "WWE SmackDown! 4:Shut Your Mouth!" and han lastly and very well: this game "WWE SmackDown! 5:Here Comes The Pain".Unlike the past titles this one does not use one of The Rock`s catchphrases or has him on the cover;this time they used Brock Lesnar`s motto "Here Comes The Pain!" as well as his photo on the cover since at the time of its production Lesnar was a "HOTSHOT2 on WWE SmackDown! and by then The Rock is now a part-time WWE Superstar not a Major face like he once was-I don`t know why he is on the WWE RAW roster even though he has technically left.
Here is some of the roster i remember from SD! 5:

A-Train
Big Show
Booker-T
Chris Benoit
Chris Jericho
Chritian
Eddie Guerrero(R.I.P)
Chavo Guerrero
Brock Lesnar
John Cena
Randy Orton
Batista
Kane
Kurt Angle
The UnderTaker(the gothic American Badda double s)
The UnderTaker(the GOTHY deadman legend style)
Sgt. Slaughter(legend)
Ted DiBease(the retro JBL)
Trish Stratus
Kiebler
and so on.

A very good roster,i like it-Not exactly up2 date now but it was at autumn/fall of 2003.

Here are the matches:

Single Match
Tag-Team/tornado tag match.
Cage Match
Survival matches.
Royal Rumble
Hell In A Cell
Elimination Chamber
Bra & Panties(CR-AP`est match EVER!)
TLC
Ladder
tables
HardCore(especially X-Square)
Lumber-Jak match.

and thats it.
the CAW is as good as SD! 4 SYM if not The SAME(the weirdest CAW Wrestlers i made were of my friends-attempted Chyna)

Price:i got it for 20-that was NEW in 2003)

bye."There goes the pain"
