likely a seller of a fake brand in my opinion September 28, 2007 this product shows a ddr game logo on the web..i think it was not. there was no ddr game logo on it anywhere and the buttons did not have the same writing as my authentic ddr game pad. the max player weight that was on it was 180 and it cracked within one week of purchase. Before that week, however, the lights quit working on one button or would only work sometimes. Quite a disappointment for the cost. Nothing about this pad indicated to me that it was truly a ddr game (brand) pad.
Well, I loved it while it lasted. May 20, 2007 13 out of 13 found this review helpful
After a long wait, I finally got this pad recently. It took a mere few minutes to break it in, and soon I was completing songs on expert with ease. The buttons were easy to reach, and unlike plastic pads, more difficult for you to lose the buttons and step elsewhere. As if the arrows scrolling down the screen weren't mesmerizing enough, observers took an odd fascination in watching the pad light up with every step. Connecting it was also a cinch.
One thing that I realized was that the moment I stood on the pad, it seemed to give a little. I was dismayed at first, but ignored it until I could not, for it cracked three days after it was delivered. The crack in the right arrow not only affects that arrow, but also affects the left arrow as well. I feel like I'm using a plastic pad now -- to press buttons, I must awkwardly and ungainly jump and lift my feet.
This is a great starters pad, however, you can only start with it. This pad will not give you what you ask for. I personally recommend a more durable pad from a more reliable seller.
Dance Dance Revolution metal PS/PS2 Pad V 3.0 May 12, 2007 9 out of 12 found this review helpful
I purchased this metal pad to replace a plastic pad that I bought for my grandson for Christmas. The plastic pad is totally worn out. After using the metal pad, he said that while it's much better than a plastic pad, it doesn't stay completely stationary on carpet. The movement makes it hard to place foot in right position on the squares.
Great Pad!!! February 9, 2007 This pad is terrific. It feels just like the arcade pads. I recommend that you wear shoes when you're using this pad because you get a lot more stability when you have the grip. The pad doesn't move that much either it only moves slightly on fast songs. Also the buttons look really cool because they light up whenever you hit a button.
The only bad thing about this pad is that it takes a little while for it to break in. Right when you get it sometimes the buttons don't register, but after a few days of playing with it it is really fun.
Slip and Slide! January 25, 2007 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
This mat is awsome its just like the arcade game's mat only you can use it at home! The only downside is its slick so you cant do it in socks and it hurts your feet it you do it barefoot. It also will mess up the carpet if you try to slide it around. Overall, this is a great mat to get, the metal mats with the bar at the back are just as good.
