5 out of 5 stars Great Game!   June 30, 2008
This was a father's day gift for my husband and he loves it. He plays it every night. Our son loves it as well and I am getting better at it every day. It's much more challenging than you think. Highly recommend!

4 out of 5 stars Guitar Hero   June 28, 2008
Guitar Hero is a game that is simple but fun and addictive. The four levels of difficulty are perfect so that someone who is just learning can play alongside with someone who has played the game many a time. Overall, a good buy

4 out of 5 stars Never too old!   June 27, 2008

I am 41 and this was the first GH that I had purchased. It was $49.99 as a LD and I couldn't resist, having always wanted to try it.

I love it! My husband and I have a blast playing it, we have to get another guitar because we are beginning to argue over who gets to play.

From other reviews, I was a little worried about the wireless controller. I live in an area where trying to use anything wireless can be hit or miss. But I have had no problems with it. I am sure it doesn't take as much abuse as it would if young kids were playing it, but I think it would hold up well.

I think there is a good variety in the set lists. They put something in for almost everyone it seems. I don't know about the boss battles, I have only gotten to 1 so far and I wasn't overly crazy about it.

I was a little disappointed in your choices of character selection. You can "buy" items in the store section of the game using the $$ you make at your gigs. New outfits, guitars, skins, etc.

I have really enjoyed the game, so if you are on the fence thinking "should I or shouldn't I?" I say go for it! You will have a blast and feel like the great guitar legend you always knew you could be.

4 out of 5 stars Son loves this!   June 19, 2008
Son loves this A LOT!! He's been wanting it for a long time and got it for his birthday in June! Price was great at around 60 bucks! The wireless seems to be working great SO FAR!

3 out of 5 stars Product disappointment...   June 19, 2008
so yes while i enjoy guitar hero II and III very much; this was a present to my little brother in NC. so i had the product shipped there. i found out that after a few days the wireless guitar didn't work. because of the fact i don't live in the same state as my little brother i was at a loss of how to figure out what to do.

my dad figured out a way to take care of it, but it made me sad he couldn't use the new guitar...
