true masterpiece November 8, 2006 3 out of 6 found this review helpful
I don't think anyone can deny that this is probably the best Pokemon game released so far. The fact that so many people have reviewed it is proof of its well-deserved popularity.
I like the fact that you can be a boy or girl trainer, and keeping track of stats is very important and helps the game look and feel better than the other Pokemon games.
I also love the fact that you can be friends with another Pokemon so you can have two people on your side during battle. This really helps the gameplay stand far and above other Pokemon games.
Pokemon must have. July 18, 2006 8 out of 9 found this review helpful
When I was about seven or maybe six years old, I was really into pokemon, all these years later and Pokemon Ruby has once again got me addicted to the 'Gotta Catch 'em all' slogan.
This game starts out with you (Boy/or Girl) going to Littleroot in a moving Van. All new pokemon, all new gym leaders, and all new plotline. Though it does share a similarity to the previous games, its still fun like you wouldn't believe.
PROS:
~30+ hours of gameplay and 50+ hours if you do intend to 'Catch'em all' ~All new pokemon ~Great graphics. ~New breeding, new two on two battles...ect....
CONS: ~Does get tedious after you beat the game, unless you head for BATTLE TOWER... ~Does not connect to older versions
AWESOME GAME!!!! July 11, 2006 6 out of 9 found this review helpful
Well to start off you get introduced at the beginning of the story where he gives you a pokemon, which you get to choose who you want to start the game with, if you want to have a real challenge on some of the gym leaders especially winoa, the bird pokemon master you should choose treeko, which eventually evolves into grovile and the several levels later it evolves into sceptile, now if you want to beat the elite four with ease and pretty well all trainers and gym leaders, pick treeko and or mudkip, and the cool part is you get to face the infamous team magma, who their leader, archie, when you get to the cave of origin, once you beat all gym leaders (including sootopolis and mossdeep) archie awakens groudon which causes the worst drought and you go to the cave of origin, use your master ball and it will flawlessly catch the legendary GROUDON, which is pictured on the front of the box and he starts out at lvl 45. but then when you beat the elite four in evergrande city you can acsses sky pillar which is one heck of a maze, and when you get to the top, you face THE ULTIMATE RYQUAZA Dun dun tshoe

It was AWSOME!!! My cousin has a copy. I had never played a pokemon game before. It was the best! As soon I got home I went to buy a copy but I didn't have enough money! I begged my sister to loan me some. She said okay, but when I got to the store she had changed her mind! So my mom gave me the money
