Best Gaming Console to Date! May 14, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have never been more satisfied with a gaming console. The controllers are the most comfortable I've ever used. The games library is ridiculously large and good. The output and speed on this thing is ludicrous. Xbox Live will have you staying up all night!
The one letdown is the proprietary hard drive situation, but I have yet to fill up my 20GB HD that came with my console!
360 degrees of funness. Xbox 360 is! May 12, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
First off I want to get something out of the way. When running the 360, its loud and gets annoying, period. I hope they fix this in the next release of 360's. That is probably one of the major flaws in the machine, nay more of a nuisance, and the unreliability (RROD). Other than that, the Xbox does have great games, with top notch graphics. Games like Oblivion, Gears of War, and many others pushing next generation gaming to another level, setting the bar very high for it predecessors. I sold my Xbox awhile ago but I'm definitely going to grab another one in August when Jasper hits the shelves. There can only be room for improvement.
It sucked! April 26, 2008 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
I have had to return the Xbox twice. The first one they exchanged; the second one, I just asked for a refund. I don't know that I can fully blame GameFunk; the problem was the "Xbox 360 red ring". However, this is suppose to be a "USED" item. Would you have checked it to make sure it worked before you shipped it? We plugged it in and got the red ring instantly. Never got to play it. HELLO, what it wrong with that picture? That means it was defective when it left their store, right?
it dose'nt matter witch is better, xbox360,wii, and ps3 are awsome systems. April 19, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
This whole war between the ps3 vs xbox360 vs wii is really getting stupid you people should enjoy what you have and stop makeing others feel bad cause all the systems are great. Xbox360, ps3, and the wii are great so theres no need for you people to bash on this item saying that it sucks and this is better cause your makeing yourself feel better and make others feel bad, so xbox360 is a great system mines don't overheat it don't have a red ring and it works perfect, ps3 i have to that works perfect to no problems at all with neither of them, so people grow up and relize that yall sound like 5year olds cause all the systems are great.
Buyer Beware!!! April 14, 2008 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
After the research I have done on this console I guess I should consider myself lucky that mine lasted a year. I read that they had extended the warranty to 3 years, but it turns out that is only for the "Red Ring of Death". Turns out I had one of the million other problems this console is experiencing. That means you have to send the broken console to them and pay them $100 to fix it. Microsoft says their console failure rate is 5%. An independent study found it to be 33%. I don't know anyone who owns one that hasn't had to send it off for repairs. When I called customer service, he knew exactly what was wrong with mine. So they obviously have more reoccuring problems than the "Red Ring of Death" but won't admit it. The console is very nice when it works. The thing is that I know several people with P3's and not one of them has sent one off for repair.
