It works May 6, 2007 It works. It's a controller. What else is there? Just as good as Microsoft's. Period. Good buy. :)
Works as good as MS original, or better. February 19, 2007 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
When playing too much Geometry Wars, my thumbs used to loose grip a bit on the original XBox 360 Wireless Controller. I had to re-adjust them from time to time, risking life ;-) I haven't noticed this problem with this alternative. Other than that, it is pretty much identical. And since it is USB, it works with my Windows XP SP2 PC (using either MS driver, or third party XBCD, though the latter with some hack - had to add the device ID to the configuration file). Great for playing emulated 8-bit Atari XE games. Oh, and I even mapped it to use as a mouse in Windows. Not very cenvenient, but hey, it was fun.
Xbox 360 Controller January 9, 2007 0 out of 8 found this review helpful
I bought this controller for my son for Christmas & he barely comes out of his room now. He bought into an online game subscription for the year & loves it. The controller seems to be working just fine for him... not sure how I feel about him staying in his room so much, but that's another issue.
Beware April 25, 2006 6 out of 23 found this review helpful
Yea, I'm [...] and an absolute video game freak. Every Pelican product I have has been [...]. Wireless controllers made by them ave short battery life, slow button reaction, and (on other consoles) have buttons that don't even work. After I bought my first Pelican product (a cable I think) I went to by a controller. The people at the store said not to buy it, but I did anyways. WASTE OF MONEY $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ Just stick with Mad Catz or Microsoft, they have the best Xbox stuff.
Great Alternative to 1st Party Controller April 22, 2006 5 out of 7 found this review helpful
I decided to go for three of these wired controllers because of the cheap price. They look, feel, and play great. They also work well with PC games.
I do, however, tend to have some technical problems that seem to be related to them. Occasionally I will get a dirty disc error (which can be caused by hardware malfunctions) when starting up Halo 2 on the Xbox 360. Also, the headset icon blinks a lot on Halo 2 (for when there is input), even though there are no headsets connected. I may have just received a bad controller, but I haven't narrowed it down to which controller causes the problem.
Still, I would recommend these controllers for a much cheaper alternative to 1st party controllers
